The short answer is this, If a games uses a lot of vram 8gig plus, the 16 gig card will have a smoother experience and higher average fps. It the games does not use a lot of vram, then the 16 gig of vram will not really matter.

Takeaway from this: The 16gb is not worth it. It just provides marginally better performance and costs a lot more than the 8gb version. It also comes really close to the 4070 in pricing, which makes it even less appealing. The 8gb is alright if you have 24gb+ RAM.

Noo, mirate los juegos que salen este verano con unreal 5 con ray tracing, 16gb va a ser el standard en la generacion siguiente al igual que 32 gb the ram, cada dia los juegos piden mas memoria que velocidad, las cosas estan cambiando, mirate los requerimientos de los juegos nuevos para 1080p en high, casi todos usan RT y un minimo de 12gb vram. Comprar una grafica hoy con menos de 12gb es comprar otra muy pronto.

​@@jgl2920No, los juegos bien optimizados que son la mayoría apenas consumen 6gb de RAM, siendo muy exigentes gráficamente como Horizon y red dead redemption, far cry 5 consume 2 GB de VRAM, y con el tema de la RAM, mm no, la RAM apenas consumen 12gb en 1080p juegos ultra mal optimizados como the last of us, a menos que tengas una 4080 o para adelante más de 16gb es inútil, solo te permitirá abrir más pestañas, 32gb es un lujo y no una necesidad, los 12gb de VRAM solo se usan en juegos como the last of us que tuvieron Port desastrosos pero en el 95% de los juegos apenas y pasan de los 6gb en 1080p, mas aún con Nvidia 4000 consume hasta menos VRAM, además de que se tiene fg y dlss que baja el consumo de VRAM, ghost of tsushima 4k con dlss apenas consume los 8gb con todo el máximo, para cuando los 8gb no alcanzan la gráfica tampoco alcanzará básicamente

@@doncapichisito1547 estas hablando de juegos viejos,unreal 4 y otros motores mas debiles, witcher 4 y todo lo que esta en desarrollo con unreal 5 te van a sorprender lo que piden, unreal 5 es otro salto tegnologico como paso entre por ejemplo play 1 y 2 por ponerlo facil. Y la optimizacion para ahorrar recursos tarda tiempo en llegar mientras tanto consumen muchisimo, especialmente para disfrutar el juego en 2k, pero si quiere jugar siempre en 1080, vas bien con menos ram en juegos antiguos.

Problem with gamers is, they think GPUs are only made for them. Listen, the 16GB is NOT a 4060 Ti "Super", if it were then I would understand the complaints I been seeing. It is just a VRAM upgrade. But why? GPUs are also made for productivity too ok and especially for AI, a lot of people were still buying 3060 USED because of the higher VRAM. So 4060 Ti 16GB was Nvidia's response. Plus the 16GB is boost for 3D rendering and/or bigger maps in Unreal Engine. GPU marketing is the issue though, the gamer market is bigger so they all focus their marketing towards gamers.

​@@JegsTVJudging by how denanding latest games are, I am not sure 16GB will save 4060 Ti. It will probably be too weak to run future games (in 2-3 years) even at 1080p. But nevertheless, 8GB version is definitely a worse GPU. Probably the worst model among all 4000 line in terms of price/performance ratio.
