If you are in India and happen to go to South Delhi marts somewhat late in night like Central Market and many places of Lajpat Nagar and Jangpura/Bhogal, you will see many oldmen who talk exactly in such accent and are in their eighties or even nineties. I used to observe that in the eighties and differentiate between this version (I guess Manjhi) of Punjabi with the one that is spoken in my place (Malwi). Both are equally equipped to turn your emotional and philosophical switch on. Very hearty video but I am afraid that after this generation (of his) noone will ever write or listen like this. This deep down desi culture was prohibited in many sociales esp. mine. I wonder why. What the junk can we churn with just English education after all ??

Why do you think like that? This dialect is the most common dialect of Punjabi spoken in Pakistan's Punjab and is flourishing. Although Punjabi education is not really preferred by the masses anymore as there are no oppurtunities and everyone wants to go to English medium but this doesn't stop poets and seekers from learning and writing poetry.
