I joined the theocratic school and gave my first talk when i was just about to turn 5. I was really good at finding Bible verses. But i waited until i was almost 18 to get baptized and never ever gave becoming an MS a second thought, never had any ambition for it, let alone an elder. Seemed like a lot of bs work and I had better things to do. Seeing the leaked instructions to elders these days it's crazy how much they have to be on top of. And i think it's a pretty thankless job as well.

@@cygnustsp it is . You are so right. Getting phone calls and jump in the car to encourage a couple to stay together or advice them to do more ministry work etc. It’s a lot of bs work and administration work haha

@@shiftyourmindset2 You did really good on this video. Watchtower controls elders and ministerial servants so that they don't dare show kindness, love, or sympathy to any of the flock. Shiftyourmindset, I would pay for the zoom channel if a few Christians would like to have a Bible meeting. Do you already attend with a group?

Lot of nepotism in the elders recommendations and of course a lot of elders have their own businesses' and quite a few are well of that is what I had seen in the congregations I was in.

Thank you Sven. The org being run like a business always bothered me - climbing up the ladder. Humble brothers let peer pressure make them over-exert themselves. By the way - my sister is a circuit overseer's wife.......... 😂 I used to say that in front of the pioneer women who were mean to me. Used to p--- them off 🤣

Donkies gallore. Carrots ARE the scorecards to attain ranks. That is all that counts. Status and ranks. Nothing else. You could be flat on your back, sicker than a dog or donkey, even from all the heat or pressure on you, and it still doesn't matter. Its all about towing the line. After finding myself being singled out, targetted, and strung up on a bunch of conjured of one-sided pigeon-holed accusational conjecture turned into scandal, things blown way out of proportion, an elder I knew for years, at least by name, did not even have my back when trying to clear the air. Not once did he. They come at you sideways with morbid preconceptions., drumming things up as they go along. For them, they see everything as "black or white" or "all or nothing". Its always the black speck pointed out on some white piece of paper. Never once pointing out the white. Just the black speck. All they see. Nothing else. It's all sunshine and rainbows. Fairweather friends. If you are on their radar or watch list, by anything speculated of you called into question, you are suddenly the frienenemy or brotherenemy. As soon as the sun isnt shining, you know who really has your back and who doesn't. This henchmen clearly did not once EVER show he was in my corner, because he let someone else with more rank speak over me to call me down without having ALL THE FACTS, even referring himself as a "turkey" like the guy "who just works here", obviously too afraid to stand up for his supposed own "brother" in fear of losing his title, job, rank, or position. If I was struggling, it's this "one-size-fits-all" explain-away attributed to lack of spirituality, or suddenly me not doing enough or "wanting special treatment other brothers work hard for" or "not reaching out enough" or requiring unshakable infallibility. Gotta fit THEIR mold, not God's. See the paradox here? They even contradict themselves in what they accuse you of, assuming you want too much or aren't doing enough. They constantly make rash stab attempts to explain you away. Shoot first. Ask questions later. The mischaracterizing in the name of God, is off the charts. (Proverbs 18:13) The carrot and stick was me or you not moving fast enough. Honesty is obviously bad or wrong. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Yes , that pressure to do the ‘questions’ . Yes I found the most compassionate brothers and sisters humble folk of the congregation. When I think back to the Elders I was brought up with , some meant well . They were teachers to me , a lot more intense than school , involved in my family and around us since birth. I called two of them uncles all my life and their wives auntie. I think they were as brainwashed as we were. Interesting the two kindest had an upbringing in JW and had not chose their way. The others , a mix of old boys club fire and brimstone energy. You go a long way to replacing those negative teachings. Thankyou for Showing us behind the hierarchy curtain of J.W.

Sadly, many ignore Jesus's advice at Matt. 20v26-27. Where he warns that. "Whoever wants to be first amongst you, MUST be your Slave". (Also Matt.23v10-12.) Then, Paul, at Phil. 2v3. "That with lowliness of mind, consider that others are Superior to you.". (Those agreeing with that one, will be very thin on the ground, me-thinks). Finally, at Rev. 22v9. An Angel warns the Apostle John, that they are both Slaves.! Giving a clear indication, that amongst Jehovah's Christian Witnesses. (Acts 15v14-17.) There is No ladder of promotion, all members, both Brothers and Sisters, of All races and colors, are all viewed by Jehovah, as being equeal, in his eyes. !...........

Johnrideout, You are confusing "the Watchtower organization" with "Jehovah". Jehovah sees each of his servants as valuable. Watchtower does NOT see each baptized publisher as valuable. Leaving Watchtower is required for our salvation. Watchtower is part of Babylon the Great. John, I think I may have met you long ago, in Texas or Illinois? Please read Crisis of Conscience.

@@Linda-ux8un Of course it's true. I knew that decades ago. My husband and his brother used to privately laugh about certain JW males, calling them "organization climbers". I asked, "What's that?", and they explained it to me. Yes, decades ago,... back in the late 1960's. But in truth, the Organization pressures all males to be "organization climbers".
