I believe your statement should have been that some of the Jews did not believe that Jesus was the Christ? However, they (those who did believe) are called Christians because they did believe in Jesus Christ. Just because those who did not believe does not mean that Jesus is not the Christ. If those who were called Christians did not believe in Jesus, why were they cut to the heart when they found out they killed Jesus? Why did they Repent? Why did they get baptized? “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” 37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” 38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:36-38 Why, because THOSE who did believe did the following below: "Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And THEY continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers." Acts 2:41-42

I'm an ex JW but I do believe some of these teachings are mistaken. JW do believe in the resurrection. And Jesus is the son of God.

Washington, the 144,000 virgins of Rev 14 does not refer to sexual relatations but spiritual purity. 1 Cor 11:2 "For I am jealous over you with a godly jealously: for I have betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a PURE VIRGIN". I've listened to Washington for years, I expected him to know this.

JW BELIEVE Jesus. We follow the teachings and example of Jesus Christ and honor him as our Savior and as the Son of God. (Matthew 20:28; Acts 5:31) Thus, we are Christians. (Acts 11:26) However, we have learned from the Bible that Jesus is not Almighty God and that there is no Scriptural basis for the Trinity doctrine.-John 14:28. THE GODHEAD (AKA TRINITY) THREE PERSONS BUT ONE GOD Many people today, as well as in the past, have failed to understand God. Some of this is due to the impossibility of a finite mind to understand an infinite being. There is nothing we can do about that. However, the rest of our inability to understand is a failure to study the revelation God has given of himself. We can understand that (Ephesians 3:4).
