Fun fact: I've heard Boothills.....clever dialogue choices (Like Son of a Nice Lady) isn't so much "keeping the age rating", it's that his Voice Synthesizer is acting up/screwed up, though funnily enough only in a way that stops him from cursing, LOL.

The dialogue absolutely is to keep the age rating but in-universe they decided to explain it as a synesthesia beacon malfunction. It's hilarious though. I can hear swear words anytime I want since I'm a big boy. Why, I can even say some of them myself. Nothing interesting there. But hearing a cyborg cowboy pull out a gun, point it at someone and then say something to the effect of "you muddle-fudging son of a nice lady, do I look like someone you can fork with, shirtbag?" and look completely serious while doing it, would absolutely make me giggle uncontrollably from the sheer stupidity of it all.
