Kage got me so happy! Everyone's building him as a shielder and I die seeing that fuckton of hp on him when he has dps potential

What DPS potential? Have you seen his damage multipliers? lvl11 Fiery collapse is 110% that deals a single hit compared to Xingqiu Qingqiu's burst lvl11 dealing 103% but hitting 3 times (or 4 with C6) while he can also debuff enemies hydro resistance. Not to mention he has ICD on his burst so you can't even apply pyro (or vape/melt) with every hit. His burst damage makes Kaeya's burst look like it's great damage by comparison and Kaeya's hits faster and doesn't have the same ICD issues. Xiangling of course has insane damage output with her burst that puts Thoma to complete shame and again she doesn't have ICD on her burst. Not to mention Xiangling's burst having fantastic AoE while Thoma has no AoE. His E skill is even worse, it's 278% damage at lvl11 while Xingqiu at lvl8 is dealing 269% + 306% at lvl8, more than twice as much damage even at 3 skill levels lower. Bennet's press E does almost as much damage while being on a 5 second CD compared to Thoma's 15s. He's quite a good character but he's literally just a shield bot with abysmal DPS himself. He's not even a good pyro support to enable reactions and that's actually one of his strengths due to how well he pairs with Hu Tao without stealing vapes from her when using Xingqiu.
