There should not be any concrete barriers at the end of runway like that. Here the fatality caused by improper runway safety protocols. ILS antennas should be collapsible as per protocol and not supposed to fit on concrete walls like this. The belly landings are usual things and plane was intact and wings levelled till it impacted the wall at the end of runway .Airport authority is responsible for this loss

The localizer was on a berm, not on a concrete wall. That wall was past the point of impact.

There is always a wall somewhere in an airport, this “accident” didn’t happen cos of the wall, there’s many other things to take into consideration too, plus what we need to respect is in the west we have a much more higher standard of safety than the East, you can see than in most things, we should think ourselves lucky 🍀

Lee the survivor said that he could not recall events after the apparent landing. Everybody has seen the events after the apparent landing. But what people would like to know is about the events before the tragic landing! I hope he recalls that at a later time.

Guys you are so slow with your news. The crash is not caused by faulty landing gear. There was a bird strike in engine 2 and pilots shut down the wrong engine 1, this resulted in incapable hydraulics, thus the landing gear wasn't deployed. Also they couldn't do another go around in this configuration and forced the plane to land with extremelly high speed, because of all that there was no time to manually deploy the landing gear.

Nothing to do with birds. Fault in Boeing 737 landing gear. Wrong and unsafe construction of the edge of the runway that presented obstacle causing the major explosion.

Sorry to say this Maybe both pilots are tired sleepy can't concentrate well. The plane did 13 flights in 48 hours. No proper checking by maintenance team maybe! Every damn company wants to make more money during holiday season 🤷🏽

It took final destination like events for the outcome. - birdstrike which resulted in engine failure (not so likely) - turning off wrong engine (if true, pilot error) - a design that makes landing gear not usable without engines and no fallback (if true design error) - a not ideal runoff (design error if theres possibilities for better solutions) Most likely nobody would have been hurt if just one thing was missing on that list
