This show I am sorry to say closed on May 12th in New York because of poor box office. It was done it by all the over shows that opened in April at the same time. I saw it 4 times and it was FANTASTIC! Constantine, Deborah Teal and the whole cast deserved a longer run. I hope it comes back with them all.

As a person only familiar with the original concept album versions of these songs, I was in hysterics! Hell, I couldn't even recognize the last one (Alive) until I managed to hear a familiar sentence. (That one sounded particularly awful, it was like a heavy metal version, for God's sake!)

I think these singers are very talented and everything but I dont know if I would like how they changed the musical, This is one of my favorite musicals and the rock edge to it could make it really really good or make it terrible so im anxious to go see it

Don't you just love when people judge a production by its preview clips... >_> The same thing happened with Rent's Off-Broadway revival, and I saw that and really liked it (and I was a die-hard fan of the original). I saw this one, too, and I thought it was great. Preview clips never do it justice, you have to see the real thing! Unrelated, Andrea Rivette, who played Emma in the filmed video recording with David Hasselhoff, was in my parents' wedding. Go figure.

I really had high hopes for Constantine, but someone needs to tell him this is a Broadway show NOT a concert. Also not sure who changed the way his songs are to be sung, but they made a HUGE mistake. Ranks right up there with purple umbrellas and the red box.

Not a fan of the rock. The beauty of the show lies in the incredible score that takes very classically trained strong vocals...just no it doesn't work for me at all....it ruins it on every level....what a shame.

I'm sorry, but I just...can't. No. This is not the Jekyll and Hyde I was introduced to in high school. This is not the Jekyll and Hyde I have known and loved for over ten years. I'm sure that during its run this revival found an audience and that's okay, I respect that. But for this fan of J&H...no. This is not my musical. Not with the hard rock edge. Not anymore.

Saw it in Philly. Better then the original, but Constantine was not good and missed as many of the "big" notes as he made. Cox was oth the prise of admission.
