The Island is good for a day trip with the beach, great dunes park, Turtle center and the food at Riverhouse. Enjoyed it.

I would definitely do the turtle rehabilitation center!!! I think the driftwood beach is very unique and just feels organic... thanks for sharing the different things to do. My husband is from Beaufort SC and goes to Georgia every once in a while... interested to heading to Jekyll Island now

Jekyll Island huh, what a name 😂. Rather ominous. The beach I can dig though. I like all the knarly trees. Great Dunes Park looks cool. That food looks good. Oh wow a sea turtle center. Now that's something I'd love to see.

I love outdoor seating as well if it isn't raining or cold. And the okra and crab cakes was really good. And oh no :-( I'm glad you didn't hit the turtle. Definitely have to be careful to not hit them.
