When she returned to Yugoslavia in 2001, she became a top player winning titles. Jelena Dokic was 1st to bring recognition to the post-war nation. She was awarded "Yugoslavian sportswoman of the year." Jelena & her father pushed to build a national tennis center. Later UN/NATO dissolved what was left of Yugoslavia & Serbia stood alone. Serbian players began to get offers of support & development because of Jelena's efforts. She's still a vital figure in Serbia despite the libel & slander.

The sport was ordering her schedule unlike other players, tournaments were scheduling her doubles right before her singles often with less than an 1 recovery time to upset her from the event. She was often fined heavily for interviews or not playing doubles. The WTA cheated her out of her bonus money & for 4 years her agency didn't pay her & she took legal action, settling out of court. Then Australian federation blocked her from 3 Olympic games. No coach was ever assigned to her unlike others.

Australian players many of them former champions were writing libelous articles in newspapers & magazines about Jelena Dokic & her family. BBC commentators( former champions) were slandering her with false statements especially during Wimbledon 1999 "She's living in a brothel here in London," She & her father are sharing the same bedroom in their hotel." She was told Serbs were the modern Nazis & she shouldn't dare complain since her presence was an affront to everybody else.

When UN/NATO dissolved what was left of Yugoslavia Jelena's Croatian mother chose to divorce her Serbian husband returning to Croatia then later Australia. Jelena chose to follow & financially support her Croatian boyfriend & her mother. The father built a home & wine/brandy business remaining in Serbia employing others & raising his son. Slander & libel in the media placed him in jail on a false charge--he survived. Jelena returned to Australia with Croatian boyfriend & mom & failed badly.

The entire tennis establishment went to war against Jelena Dokic to exterminate her from the sport. The sport is bigger & more powerful than any player & you can't win against it. Its time to move on for her she was never able to have a real career. She could beat all of these players who're still playing at 30. They didn't have the sport crushing their efforts by cheating your ranking, ordering crooked calls & umpiring that costs titles, rigging the draws, stripping your seeding & more.
