The Black Hole Funnel is an event new to the 2020 Marble League, and the second ever duo event! Two marbles from each team descend the funnel in a test of endurance, participating in two heats to set the longest combined time. Which team will last the longest? Love this event!! You could see so many strategies being used by the teams, some more successful than others. I really liked that each set of 4 teams faced the Black Hole Funnel twice, and that the results were the total of all their scores. The second run seemed to go quicker for all/almost all of the teams - a sign they were getting tired (or dizzy!) Well done, Jelle, Dion, Woodsy, & team!!!

One of my favourite competitions! It would be even more thrilling if for the second run, the teams started in reverse order of their placement, i. e. Group 1: Rank 13 - 16 … Group 4: Rank 1 - 4. Thus, the winner would most probably only be decided in the last second, especially if one of the lower ranked teams for a great comeback. Like in Nordic ski jump.

Speeders have done a great job hanging around, avoiding the back half results after a disastrous first event, and now they got the gold (and some mediore results from leaders) to get back into striking distance. Another gold or a few silvers and they'll have a real shot.

Why are they not broadcasting you instead of the NFL and NBL? These marble tournaments brought my dying Grandmother some real joy as she was dying from stage 4 cancer and couldnt leave her hospital bed in my father's house. I showed her these after watching Last Week Tonight and I guess it was the perfect thing for her to get involved with. The different races are amazing to watch. I'm not sure if she had a favorite team I never got the chance to ask her.

This is slow event, but speed is the key. With more speed, marbles can gain more angular momentum to keep them spinning longer before being sucked by black hole. That's why Savage Speeders is favorable for this kind of event. On other hand, as Ducks fan, it's both joyful and painful to see this result. Ducks slowly regain good performance, but they missed medal by being 4th winner.

If the O'rangers come last next round: If the Hornets finish lower than 13th and Mellow Yellow finishes lower than 7th, they will be eliminated from the victory of the 2020 ML. It is mathematically probable for the O'rangers to finish 13th. But it would mean that every single team from 9th to 15th would have to sweep the medals and the top 4 teams to come 13th to last in every single event with the O'rangers only getting points in 2 of the next 5 events... It would also mean that we could potentially have a 5 way tie for 1st place. Looking forward to the rest of the season!

They are not the Speeders. They are the *Savage* Speeders. Savagery is extremely important in many events. It throws the competitors astray and give them the edge. And in speed events they are also really good, not sure where you got them sleeping. #SpeedIsKey #SavagePassage
