Absolutely loved this. Dual commentary is working well and has potential to get even better once they've found their groove. Love the excitement Jack is injecting with his voice which is amplified by the crowd noises. As if I was there! And the driver's eye... I'm in tears. Jack being somewhat unsure how to describe this unique experience was a perfect fit.

Maya Thomas personally, I think it could be possible, maybe not practical, to actually do that sort of thing. A gyroscope-esque sort of contraption inside a clear casing would be fairly easy to make. The trouble is how to prevent the camera from flipping and keeping it from interfering with the race.

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS! 😍😍 They both do a phenomenal job! I haven't heard Jack's commentary until the first round of Marbula E, so if i had a preference, it would be biased towards Greg (just because I am familiar with his voice and commentary). That being said, I think 2 commentators is ideal. I love when they, the commentators, are able to go back and forth with their individual reactions to what is happening. Keeping in mind that they both might be observing/interpreting the same situations with a different mindset. #MARBLTICULATION 😋😇🥳🥳🥳❤❤❤

The dual commentary works really well. Greg provides more technical commentary while Jack provides the energy. Having 2 commentaries also makes it easier to react to sudden changes during the race. Overall it felt very smooth and polished.

Its a well established commentary style. One person is the "play-by-play" announcer, focusing on the mechanics of the event, and the other is called the "color" commentator and they bring the hype. Its a set up used in almost all major league sports broadcasting.

Jack’s strength: Inherent knowledge of Motorsport history. The comment about a team owner getting mad was one only a Motorsport follower would know to make. Greg’s strength: Personification of the marbles. Because he talks of them as beings with agency, we believe it as well. Great team. They sell both ends of the reality of this mashup.

I agree. Jack struggled with Paris because he wasn't used to talking about marbles like they were real people. Greg really seemed to help Jack get comfortable talking about the race times, describing the course, how drivers are adjusting to the course and you could hear Jack's excitement when Jaquar came back in the final lap and won the race.

This is easily the most impressive series I’ve ever seen. Every iteration the Marbula 1 and Marbula E series races goes through adds something new and worthwhile and I wonder how much more polished can a thing get?1 The duality of the commentary between Nicholls and Woods is exactly was these races need. Both are excellent commentators by themselves, for sure, but the added layer of analytic conversation between them heightens the anthropomorphic personification of the “racers” 100-fold. I literally stopped thinking of them as marbles and they became, somehow, creatures of skill and agency and it was a glorious thing. If Marble racing was already exciting, this new dynamic was breathtaking... also, “Driver’s Eye”? Beautiful touch...

Those chicanes were really tricky to hit right. The last one was treacherous - it really shuffled up the field and would ruin a marble's race if they got it even slightly wrong - the key was to find that thin line that would allow them to go straight through the final chicane without touching the wall, or else.... Every marble that led the race found that out the hard way. 😂 But this track layout really gave room for some sudden dashes and surprise attacks! Some really wild racing in this round!

This is fantastic, I'm a Formula E fan so it's good to have Greg Woods for the insight into Marble Racing that I know nothing about. I would much more perfer a Kickstarter for a mass produced version of the ramp, and the 3D printed track parts, So we could race our own marbles at home. I know a Pub that would LOVE to have a suspended see through marble race track for people to cheer the marbles along while drinking and eating below. I think it would be a jolly good time to have a weekly race open to the public at my local farmers market or town square this summer, for free fun family entertainment. ... Got hooked on Marble Runs through Marbula-1 and the Sand Marble Rally, then gradually got hooked on the Marblelympics, but Marbula-E didn't hook me at first. But this outing knocked it out of the park. The great interplay between Jack Nicholls and Greg Woods, the drama, finding the teams to cheer on and the teams to sympathize with (Poor Envision...here's hoping they can turn things around in Jakarta!). Then there's the Driver's Eye, which still has me smiling. Great job to everyone involved! Looking forward to more great videos.

I think Porsche should be tested for steroids and perhaps disqualified, it looked like it had rocket attached at times. Mercedes also did a few dubious overtakings at times, I would look into if they are using some kind of lubricant. Dodgy race and I hope the inspectors will bring out the truth.
