Autism obsessions are real, almost all of us have one. For me, it's mining/geology. I'm just glad that it was something I could have a good education/career in, rather than something like old Disney movies or sewing.

Back when I was born there was a train that was in the hospital where I was born. I freaked out this one retired nurse that literally told me that that train was in that hospital for 2 months. She diagnosed me with not suffering from infantile amnesia disorder.

I miss that train. Its been over 35 years and I still remember it. It also caused me to lean how to tell time. From the time I would see it exit to when it would return the spinning circle item I later learned was a clock basically I counted the minutes and it took 23 minutes and 47 seconds for it to return. I miss that blue train.

DB main stations also have miniature train model toy machine that would run when coins are inserted. They can be a good distraction while waiting for the real train being late, again.
