True story: So one day it was my friends birthday and she was having a pool party/ sleepover. In her backyard we were all playing in the pool but I was not such a good swimmer but this girl was at the edge of the deeper end and asked me to hold a hoop for her to jump through. I did what she wanted but instead she pushed me into the pool. I was freaking and almost drowning. I was screaming as Loud as I could but it took a while for my other friend to notice. She dived in and almost drowned to save my life. THANKYOU Sydney if u see this comment.

I have a story very similar to this but, I was at a sleepover with my “friend” (I say that because we aren’t friends anymore) and we all wanted to go in the pool so she asked me if I could swim and I said yes so she pushed me in the pool where I couldn’t swim very well so I was just holding my legs and my eyes were still open so I saw how the pool looked underwater with CLEAN water (that was pretty cool) but I was freaking out because I thought I was going to DIE lolol but I’m fine now. (Also, note my sister and her sister were there too)

I have a similar story. Me, mom, Morgan, Chelsea, and my little sister Ava where walking in a river, --a shallow one...kind of-- when Morgan dared me to ride down a mini waterfall. She said that it was probably only 3 feet deep, so I did it. It was 5 feet deep. The waterfall was pulling me underneath and I couldn’t get to the surface. My mom had to swim in that 5feet deep water to save me. I was 3 or 4 I think. Can’t remember.

I always done the doggy paddle when I was smaller... we went swimming in school.. it was my turn so I jumped in the pool and done the doggy paddle... everybody was amazed.. one guy went "OMG DOGGY PADDLE HOW" I stupidly said "oh it's easy" now I realise that he may have been saying it sarcastically... hopefully not...

I was once 6 and I forgot to put my floats back on after going to the bathroom. I jumped in and I was like *oh no-* I was screaming for help and some dude saved meh. Thanks random guy! So ive almost drowned to..so I was only about 6, I was sitting in the very shallow spot. Then I slipped off into the pool and I was screaming and scared...I tried to swim I was able to talk for only a second and I screamed "HELP!" My mom couldn't save me but my dad could so he did.

When I was at a public swimming pool I did not know how to swim,I flipped over and I almost died but luckily my mom caught me and I was like nope never swimming again.. I don’t remember what age I was when I almost drowned but I know it was before middle school. My best friend (at the time) and I were having a sleepover and my best friend had a pool. We played around but of course I didn’t swim that well so I swam around on the blue floaty board thing. My friend grabbed the blue floaty board and pulled me around until I slipped and let go of the blue floaty board. I was surprisingly chill as I sank and my friend got me out of the water. I was scared of water since but I don’t think my friend remembered because she called me a baby. I’m no longer her friend

I almost drowned last summer. The pressure from a waterfall held me under for like a minute and then a guy helped me out once I got my head out. And when I was 4 I fell through a donut floaty and was just sitting at the bottom of the pool until my cousin realized I was gonna die then jumped in and saved me. On my 6th birthday, I had moved to a new place and got new friends. I only had one "friend" For my birthday, we went to a water park. My friend wanted to "practice her future job with me". I agreed, and she took me to the kitty pool. She then pushed me over and pushed my face in the water. Once I could finally make it out of the water, I said " what kind of job drowns kids in kitty pools!?" She then answered with " cereal killers " we are no longer friends, and every time I see her, I say, " hi girl who tried drowning me in a kitty pool!" Btw this is a true story

I nearly drowned. It was years ago when i was little and we were playing in my papa’s pool. And i had this… WONDERFUL IDEA to go under the water and jumpscare my little brother. And i did so effectively. He in fact, got so frightened, he pushed my head down under the water and couldn’t get back out. I was in there for what felt like minuts and i became light headed as my brother’s hand still pushing down on my head. I thought it was all over until my mum had to grasp and take him away. It still feels pretty eventful. But somehow i have pretty much no fear of drowning nowadays. I enjoy swimming. But not competitive swimming.

When I was like in 3rd grade, I went to this community pool with my friend and his mom, and I guess I accidentally wondered into the deep end of the pool, and started flailing around until like 1minute later, when the lifeguard noticed (the pool was very crowded that day) and swooped in to save me. Needless to say, I was mortified. There were like kindergarteners there, who knew how to swim wayyy better than me. After that we left (because I was so embarrassed) and I think my friend was a little annoyed that we left 10 minutes after we got there. After that, I started taking Swimming lessons, and now I can do all of the strokes. (BTW I haven’t been back there since that incident.)

I'm fromthe UK so I think the standards are different but when my school did lessons I was put in the lowest group (I think group 1) but after that when my mum got a clubcard and put me on swimming lessons I got to the deep end (I think group 4) in less than a year!

Except from 2-5 grade •∆• Edit: NOW THAT IM SEEING THE DEEP END PART DJDBEJDNEHREHJSJSSJ I REMEMBER A STORY, not a big one tho lol. At the end of every lesson we had to jump into the deep end, either a pin drop or a dive, and I would always be afriad because I couldn't stay up in water at that age. SOME FREAKING HOW I GOT PUT INTO THE BEST GROUP, AND EVERYONE IN THE GROUP HAD TO JUMP INTO THE WATER OR THEY WOULD GET IN TROUBLE SO I DID A PIN DROP- And that's how I learnt how to swim :>

I learned how to swim in a couple minutes(my mom helped me) so i didn't need a skool to learn how to swim but my grandma didn't believe me so she kept telling me that I can't swim and so she would tell me that I would have to go to a skool to learn because I needed a certificate that I did it and that my mom can't swim (but she can she only learned in a couple of seconds)
