Jelly first off the floating sand falls when you place block on it. Second you can smelt diamond ore, theres literally coal in your inventory and cobblestone at the lava and the water.

You could get oak logs and go to the smithy and use the furnace to smelt the diamonds or the lava and water collision makes cobble so you can use cobblestone to make a furnace and smelt the diamond

Jelly there is cobblestone in the lava and you have four coal, you get the cobblestone from the lava and craft a funace and put that coal in the furnace so it can smelt
