The irony of this scene is that, in trying to separate Kimber and Stormer, the Holograms and the Misfits showed how great they can be if they worked together, instead of against each other.

Yep! Also when they were stuck, on that island, together and when they came to BaNee's going away party.

Unfortunately, they both also showed that they were jerks. Both the Holograms and the Misfits were out of line. Kimber and Stormer are old enough to make up their own minds. And the Misfits and the Holograms are not their mothers. (Yes, I'm aware that Jem is Kimber's sister, but still, not her mother.)

Considering that The Misfits have made multiple attempts on Jem and the Holograms lives (and should be in prison), I can understand if the Holograms might be a bit reluctant to team up with their mortal enemies.

@msrain1235 Let's not forget that the Stingers were also at Ba Nee's goodbye party, as well. Riot did help Jem find Ba Nee's father, with help from his own father, who he reconciled with in the next to last episode in the series, Riot's Hope. Jem got the two men to reconcile for Riot's mother's sake. Riot's mother had fallen ill when the pair refused to stop fighting, all because Riot wanted to be a musician instead of being in the Army like his father. Riot's father went to a Stingers concert and saw how talented Riot really was, which prompted Mr. Llewellyn (Riot's father) to have a change of heart. I humbly apologize for going on like this. Just wanted to let you know the score, give you the skinny, give you food for thought.

Haha this episode was cool because in reality Kimber would have made a better misfit and Stormer would have made a better Hologram personality wise. It is also funny that Jem and Pizazz are closer alike than it would seem. Jem is Jerrica Benton without responsibility and when she becomes Jem she rebels against her own life.. Pizazz rebels because she thinks it will get her father's attention. In other words she created Pizazz to rebel against her own life just as Jem does.

But Jem and the Holograms are supposed to be more positive. Both groups do some serious boundary-crossing here. Kimber and Stormer can make up their own minds, and neither group has any business choosing their friends for them. I can accept that from the Misfits, but Jem? Ugh! Mind your own business!

After this condemning song by both Jem and Pizazz, Stormer and Kimber should have continue with their back2back project. Because they were actually the creative hearts of both groups, they could have easily made it to the top without their respective groups. Jerrica needed Synergy and Pizazz her father's money to be the head of their groups. But without Kimber's and Stormer's input they would both be average acts.
@syxepop9 жыл бұрын
+Skaz32225, now I remember the reason for this... At near the end (late Act 3) of "The Bands Break Up" Jerrica did ask Mary Stormer to join The Holograms, but she said (in front of Pizzazz and her other bandmates, which were in Jerrica's office to take Mary Stormer back) that Pizzazz needed her more than Jerrica did, which is why she wanted to return with "The Femme Misfits". Then Mary Stormer turned (decisively) into Pizzazz and asked her to swear to her to "take her more into account" from then on (which Pizzy grudgingly accepted) and went out of Jerrica's office, not before Kimber running to embrace Mary Stormer for the last time. PS: Now that there's Ms. (Pizzy with just 3 z's) Miller on (Comedy Central's) "Moonlight City", use the full allotment (4z's) when talking about Miss Gabor OK? ;)
@advancedtechniquesinstitut96059 жыл бұрын
+Skaz32225 w3rd but they had zero business sense or skill. Jerrica has those.
@syxepop9 жыл бұрын
+Advanced Techniques Institute, which is the reason Jerrica (after realizing the wrongs she committed against Kimber, which like Mary Stormer have a "superb creative mind") offered her "well-organized mind" and business sense to put the kibosh (real reasons Jerrica had) on Eric Raymond's ideas to take Starlight Music back via Kimber's share, even if it involved hurting "The Femme Misfits" creative mind and true cheerleader. Better late than never... For those who haven't figured it out for 30 years (or less) Jerrica has the "organized mind" part of Jacqui's DNA as her strong suit, while Kimber's "creative mind" part is hers. And BOTH are AS STRONG-HEADED as THEIR MOTHER, something she's STILL PROVING in her "purple guise" (she just pinched one of my cheeks for saying that, but she knows it's the truth...), just ask about "the incident in Athens" (Mid-Summer's Night Madness).

syxepop It's so shitty both the comic and movie are entirely ignoring the Holograms' mom to concentrate 100% on her daddy.
@syxepop9 жыл бұрын
+Advanced Techniques Institute, not only that Jacqui is FAR MORE INTERESTING as a character (she even got "2 chances at life", which is a great writing subject), but also FAR MORE INVOLVED in the raising of their children, whether by blood or by fostering (even her friends and acquaintances are "part of her family". Just like in the original MOTU, the females makes the most interesting characters, something that neither "Mr. Chu" nor the IDW writers (in a lesser degree) understood. Or "ask" ("The Big Guy" wouldn't answer this one) Kevin Sorbo, whose successive characters were "steamrolled" by not one female (Xena: Warrior Princess), but 2 (on Andromeda)...

+Advanced Techniques Institute Concerning Stormer, can you detail your allegations please? Because Stormer can make mischief sometimes but she has moral standards too unlike the others Misfits. She's very different from the others Misfits. She's a very complicated character. Need I remind you that she helped Jem not to go in prison in episode "Frame up" against Pizzazz and Eric Raymond's will. Have you forgotten too that Stormer helped Jerrica to keep Starlights Music in "Bands break up" episode (Stormer had no interest to do that)? And if Stormer hadn't intervened in the episode "the Jazz Player" , Aja would have been hurted by a band of louts . And what about Kimber ? I was talking about her too. Why were the other Holograms insensitive about her feelings?
@advancedtechniquesinstitut96059 жыл бұрын
While staying loyal to the very people who framed Jem and she nearly let Ashley be killed.
@syxepop9 жыл бұрын
+Advanced Techniques Institute, OK... We Pop People DON'T FIGHT AMONGST OURSELVES, just for causes we deem justified. NOBODY here is NOT GUILTY of something... Mary Stormer (as stated before in other posts) is mischievous, creative and shy, all to extremes and all-in-one (there's also the time Jerrica, not worrying that her hologram was turned off by the water hitting her earrings in the process) saved Mary Stormer from drowning in that lost in an island ep to complicate it even more. Kimber, add her intensiveness and her creativity with age inexperience and the hardheadedness of her mother and you have the ingredients for people to consider her "the irritating redhead" (I'm just describing her, she would agree to "keep her honest"). All the other Holograms (starting with Jerrica the 1st day she saw Pizzazz and called her "trash") and "Femme Misfits" are guilty of trying to understand everything into BLACK or WHITE, while "> 500 SHADES OF GRAY" were shown throughout the cartoon's duration. Each one has both positives and negatives and "has a reason to be there". All-in-all, BOTH songwriters wanted some R-E-S-P-E-C-T from their bandmates and to that point BOTH bands were "giving them for granted" even with the enormous job-at-hand trying to write-on-the run (boring and not easy as later the IRL Bravo TV-US reality competition "Platinum Hits" shown for the single season it lasted). At least Jerrica's "organized mind" woke up and gave both songwriters some leeway to give them what they needed (marketing help and the "word" mentioned...), at the same time that she protected both their interests (and her's and the people she was responsible for in the process). For a "way to sell dolls" this gets "very complicated" very soon...
@leonardeuler95929 жыл бұрын
+Advanced Techniques Institute You're right Stormer is very loyal to the Misfits (I wonder why, we even don't know how the Misfits' band was created. ) . Concerning Ashley, you forgot to mention that Pizzazz forced Stormer to abandon Ashley. If Stormer hadn't abandoned Ashley , Pizzazz would have rejected her from the Misfits. What's more, Stormer was sad and had a bad conscience because she abandoned Ashley.

There are few moments in this series that make Jem look worse. First, Jem needs to mind her own business. Kimber is at least 18, since we see in this episode, she can enter legally binding contracts. Therefore, she's an adult and can make her own decisions. Second, she intruded on Kimber's and Stormer's performance. That's truly bad form. Jem is an established name, but Kimber and Stormer are just starting out. Jem and the Holograms and The Misfits upstaged them. Finally, public humiliation is no way to stage an intervention. Jem might mean well, but her methods are epic level cringe. It's a shame because her message was on point. Stormer is a bad influence.

Over judgment too much?

@@LeandroArteagaVega "over judgment too much"? I don't know. Redundant much? I'll stand by what I said. This was crappy behavior by Jem. And if you're so hung up on people being judgmental, shouldn't you be coming down on Jem, since this was her judgmental attitude that prompted this ill-thought out intervention in the first place?

Isn't it great that Stormer and Kimber are friends? I mean, Stormer and Roxy only tried to kill Kimber, Jerrica and the rest of the Holograms in the first episode. But it's okay, Stormer's a good person now. (You don't get to claim to be a good person after attempted murder.) Interesting how Pizazz joins the line behind Jem and the Holograms while Roxy and Jetta do their own dance moves. I thought those two hated each other.

Josie and the pussycats and Jem and the holograms would make a good collaboration.The Cabot twins would make a good alliance with Pizzazz and the Misfits

But I could see why Stormer decided to go back to her old group she should of became a Holograms and continue being friends with Kimber.
