This stylised feather design is one that I return to time and time again, feathers are meaningful to many people around the world and are beautiful in both jewellery and decorative items.
In this video I'm using 1mm (18 gauge) and 0.4mm (26 gauge) raw soft copper wire, plus just a few optional 2mm faceted beads (in this instance, colour enhanced lapis lazuli).
Tools used: Bent chain nose pliers, flush cutters, flat pliers, 4oz brass faced hammer, steel and rubber hammering blocks.
I love making these feathers as each one is slightly different. They can be downsized and made with lighter wire for earrings, or layered up and hung from a dream catcher or web design (future tutorial coming up soon). They are a thoughtful gift and can be used in home decoration inside or outside.
Hope you enjoy the tutorial and look forward to seeing you again soon xxx Jem xxx

Love your feather design and instructions. I may try it using 20g wire and attaching it to a suncatcher design as you suggested or making earrings. Lots of options! (I laughed hard about your comment of dropping beads on a dark floor as I’ve experienced that more times than I’d care to admit!). Looking forward to more of your videos.
