"Get his attention?!!", she did it all right, like Aphrodite just appearing among mere mortal men, that will make men notice you all right, lol. Jem a little too much, wasnt your intention, but your stunningly gorgeous, it was just too much for Riot, he didnt stand a chance.

Riot knew darn well what he was doing when he was flirting with Jem. Riot really wanted Jem to be his girlfriend in a lot I of ways.

Rio being in love with both Jem and Jessica is a little unsettling for me. On one hand they are the same person and that robot woman (when she changed jem into ANOTHER woman) said that Rio falls in love with all of Jessica's personas and no one else (whether that is true or not I don't know) and on the other he is basically cheating on his girlfriend with another girl without even realizing they are the same person 😅

First of all it's JERRICA not Jessica. Second of all, do you watch Pretty Cure at all? They have to keep their identity a secret. What if Rio said something and it got out? Synergy's powers could be used for evil if any information got into the wrong hands. They're the same person, Jerrica just can't bring herself to tell Rio.

@sierra stanley I get that but at the same time Jerrica is the one keeping her identity a secret from Rio, essentially lying to him for no good reason. So, I would argue that they both have issues.

uwau, this did not age well, Riot looks like the total celeb creep who wants to take advantage of a girl so he gets alone with her, and Jem is playing the naive soon to be victim, never go to be alone with a man in a show bizz

Yeah, the romances are a little dated to say the least. The secondary characters have such better romances, like Aja & Craig, and Shana & Anthony.

Rio angry but then he is Jerrica's bf and then cheats on her with Jem, this man is confused lmao and Jerrica/Jem is just as bad because she wont tell him she is both of them.

Yeah, their relationship is messed. Which why I think there needs to be a deconstruction of Jem/Jerrica/Rio love triangle while also reconstructing their relationship into one that is more emotionally healthy.

In The Day Music Died, Riot and Jem go a romantic cruise to Mexico. This story blew my mind because we see another side of Jem.

If they do a reboot/re-imagining of Jem and the Holograms, Riot should be based off of Prince, David Bowie, and Brian Molko. Riot's androgynous/non-binary/gender fluid vibe should make the romantic chemistry between Riot and Jem more hypnotic and sexually complex.

I just found my childhood show and I wholeheartedly agree. The movie was shit and shamed Jem. I used to watch this a lot with my mother.

@@spudbait8125 I didn't hate the Jem movie but I get why a lot of people (especially Jem fans) hated it. I think there is a way to do a Jem reimagining that has respect to the original while also doing something that is fresh and different.

@@ashleym.7233 Thanks for agreeing, I also think Sanetoshi Watase from Mawaru Penguindrum should be an inspiration for a rebooted version of Riot both in terms of their appearance and personality.

If the show would have continued I think that Riot and Jem would have been a couple. I also think that Kimber would have been in a triangle with them. I thought that Riot was supposed to be one of those glam rock pretty boys that they had a in the 80s. Rio might have ended up with Minx, or for huge mix Pizzazz!
