Trucking ladies cause havoc on Radio 1 quiz | day on the blower trailer

I have the blower trailer on for this weeks video. It’s also a week where myself and 3 other trucking ladies go head to head on the radio 1s yesterdays quiz. Being put on the spot on the radio and saying the first thing that pops in your head can have very funny consequences. But which one of the 4 of us wins the week?

It's good this radio talk show can highlight female truckers and introduce them to the audience. It's also good to see you're on the blower trailer this week. I was lucky to catch a glimpse of you today at 4pm coming off the m32 bristol then you took the slip road down to the A4174 ring road to Frenchay and Downend im always heading the opposite way on the carriageway I guess you were in the area bedding down for the night at that time of day Good luck Gemma x

Hi Jemma, I run a similar blower trailer in Australia but in a road train set up. We dont get as keen as you when connected though, just 1 pipe and cam lock fittings both ends, done. Nice and simple.

Question for you, why wouldn't you put your 'sopping wet' gloves on the exhaust pipe whilst you were sitting waiting on the feed blowing? They looked like they were leather, so wouldn't melt. Surely the heat would help them dry out a bit?

Yet another quality production Jemma ... I had a young lass from Austria doing a work placement with me in the plant industry, she was on secondment from CAT and I thought she was fantastic, loads more enthusiastic and willing, than some of the half arsed blokes Ive employed .. and damn good at the job .. women should not hold back in these industries and get involved in some of these jobs blokes have been doing for years. The work is easy, its the other facets like reliability, and good time keeping that are far more important to most employers . . go you ! and look forward to more vids 👍

Another great vid Jemma. You got brains as well as beauty! Just a small tip for if I may. Always try to fully raise the blower on the last bin coz if you have stuff left a mill may turn you away for contamination. I learned the hard way. Greeting from soggy Northern Ireland.

Great Video Jemma, good to see my old stomping grounds on video. One tiny little correction, the Tamar bridge replaced the Saltash Ferry, as it could no longer keep up with the traffic, not the Torpoint Ferry (which is classed as a floating road bridge) :)

That was great video i learn to use a blowers from my dad i don't drive a blower i drive a hiab crane truck but that's what I always wanted to do seeing you use that trailer as made me want to get my dream job even more now brilliant video ps think you're truck really looks cool on that trailer anyone can drive a truck but getting to use different trailers etc is the best 😊🙃🤠
