Jen is all about the riot of color. The workshops offered at the Stitchin' Post are amazing. Jean and Val have done a fantastic job of bringing bucket list instructors to our area.

OMG! I believe I just found a new designer to follow. Thank you so much for filming and posting this video. Up in Canada, Ottawa, we have a few good LQS, but rarely have classes with such designers and authors...as the cost is just too high. I always thought Puducha was the place to visit but now I'm thinking Sisters! The Stitching Post is unbelievably stunning. Thanks again.

I know!!! I love her use of the English language and pronunciations, in this case she literally meant a cup of tea and actually took a piece to the back kitchen and dunked it in a cup of tea to show how to change the tone of a fabric you might love.

We don’t have a large quilt community in NY so for the most part, I have been working in isolation and through KZbin and Instagram- after seeing this I think I will take the Small World Quilt Class that is being offered at my nearest quilt shop. The samples are made by several of the employees including Annette who was rearranging the bolts! They have a couple of designated long arm quilters who finish it up....Jen is a gem!

I know...I loved hearing how she puts fabrics together...that is the part of making a Jen Kingwell quilt that scares me...how do you put together all those different fabrics. I explained it to Cakers yesterday and it made even more sense. It is a little brace drafting button which measures a perfect quarter inch when run around a template. The Stitchin post sells them and OMG are they ever a handy little tool for easily adding the quarter inch!

I loved your class! You are lucky. I have a question what were you using with your marking pencil to trace around the template? Thanks for your videos Cecelia

you know it is a little round brass drafting tool...pencil guide...you put your pencil or pen in the center of the circle and run it along your ruler and it lines a perfect quarter inch seam around your template!!! Fantastic...they sell them at the Sitchin Post so you can order one :)

Oh, Anna, I was so sad to hear your comments about Batiks. I love them and if you don't, that is fine, but you were so adamant about it, I found it distressing---

oh I hate to cause you distress...I am really allergic to them. What ever chemical is used to create the beautiful fabrics activated my asthma and caused my hands to dry out and peel when I was ironing a kit I made. The quilt came out beautiful...I did not. So I have steered clear ever since...although my Fabric Stalker group are all batik lovers.

I think the Batiks are beautiful but being a beginner they are a bit more difficult for me. Not sure why.
