The chat near the beginning of this video really reinforced why I love watching the two of you stream together. The stuff about promoting the streamily prints and cameo versus impulse control for spending money proved how cognizant you are about your position and influence, and I think that is great. Suggestion for the audio echo: one set of bluetooth earbuds, share the pair so you both have the game in one ear but can still hear each other. If Aliona puts the earbud in her right ear, it might help the same way an earplug does so Jen doesn't seem quite as loud.

Also, hi Aliona! I don't know if people told you this before (they probably have, but just in case), you can absolutely toggle the Non-Lethal mode on and leave it on for the whole game. It should be in your radial menu, the one you access by pressing R1 and L1 (I believe the difference between pressing one or the other is the type of radial you open up first, L1 being the combat radial and R1 the actions radial - you should be able to switch between the two once they're open anyway). The icon looks like a tilted head with a hammer above it. That way, when you zero someone's hit points (aka their life), they stay on 1 HP instead and be stunned/passed out. However! This only applies to MELEE attacks, not ranged or area attacks. You can use ranged and area attacks to lower your target HP, but in order to not kill them you have to make sure you zero their HP with a melee attack (it can be with any type of melee weapon and with unarmed attacks). ALSO! If you previously hit them with any type of damage that causes an effect which is dealt in more turns (example: poison damage, that deals some hits for a few rounds), OR if you or anything in the area hits them once they're down (example: something exploding), they WILL die. NPCs cannot be revived, only companions, so that cannot be undone. To recap: toggle Non-Lethal mode and be careful about the type of damage you're doing when your target is close to zero HP. Have fun!!!

Another game you should try is Outer Wilds, It's the game I recommend to everyone I know. It's kind of a space archeology game. Your solar system is covered in ruins from aliens that disappeared ages ago, and you play as the first astronaut with a translator tool able to read the text they left behind. The game is mostly about finding bits of information and piecing together the story of the solar system, so being good at playing the game isn't that important (though you will crash your ship/ die often, that's also part of the game). It has a really chill camping 'roasting marshmallows on the moon' atmosphere, with the unforgiving deadly forces of nature mixed in to keep things interesting. There is no fighting at all in the game, it's very pacifist friendly. All of the progression in Outer Wilds is based on what you have learned, so it's really vulnerable to being spoiled and not a game where you would want chat telling you what to do. It's really a one of a kind experience that I think everyone should play

Hi from Bristol guys! Thank you both for being such wonderful queer representation. I felt my heart do a thing when I learnt Jen was queer (visibly and wonderfully and proud to be queer!). And then my heart did another thing when I learnt Aliona (clear, consistent, empathetic movement direction!) was your partner! Me and my partner met doing theatre together, we teched an Ibsen play together way back in our first year of uni. So recs: my partner was very new to gaming and PS controllers when they first started playing. We can highly recommend Spiritfarer, if you want a game to play co op together. Its a cosy resource management, platforming game about death: adorable art, lovely music, and a queer storyline for at least one of the characters. Its also sweetly hilarious and quite shamelessly left wing in its politics. Don't really know enough about your gaming taste aha! I hope you find games you enjoy both together and individually. Thank you for being so engaged with the dnd/bg3 community- your obvious delight and almost relief, in finding it to be (mostly) wholesome and creative and respectful is beautiful to see!

@alionabaranova1 - You genuinely feel bad killing these people who are just rival tomb raiders and I totally get that. If you set your "passives" option for non-lethal damage and hit them with a weapon, it will just knock them out. Magic attacks and ranged attacks are still deadly though, so keep that in mind. I think it's sweet of you to play your conscious. One of the great thinks about D&D is you get to do things your way, and in this case there IS an option for you, it just adds a bit more challenge. It will be more personally rewarding, though.

If youre looking for interesting games to play (whether you stream them or not) then id recommend Return of the Obra Dinn, Hades, and Untitled Goose Game. Obra Dinn and Goose Game are pretty easy to get a grasp on and are puzzle based and Hades though it can be a little hard has a mode that makes it slightly easier after every loss which you can turn on or off at anytime. Hades has a really wonderful story, Goose game is really cute, and Return of the Obra Dinn is a really neat period puzzle game that is the best of the entire genre. Love the stream, you both are really fun to watch. Cant wait to see how your run through BG3 shapes up.

L2 - Manage Party - This allows you to cycle through party members, switch the main character, and group different characters together. R2 - Shortcut Menu - This brings up a wheel with the Character Sheet, Journal, Combat Log, Long Rest, Short Rest, Go To Camp, Turn-Based Mode, Map, Alchemy, and Level Up menus. L1/R1 - Character Actions - These cycle through the wheels with all of your character actions, including attacks, spells, and items. L3 - Cursor - This acts like a mouse cursor you control with the left joystick. R3 - World Information - Hold this down to see all NPCs' vision lines and highlight any objects on the map. View - Map - Select this to jump straight to the Map or hold it to load the Journal. Menu - Game Menu - This brings up the main menu options, such as Save Game, Load Game, and Settings. D-Pad Up - Jump - Use this to bring up the AoE for a Jump command or hold it to switch the character's light source. D-Pad Left/Right - Previous/Next Target lets you cycle between interactable objects near the current character. @@JordanJumpin I watched her murder Lae'zel in the most cold-blooded brutal way possible. It feels like if you just let Shadowheart be Shadowheart heart, she will do some really evil things. Also, if you play as her origin, you will get a lot of special "Cleric of Shar" dialogue options that are almost always super mean, some of which will provoke NPCs into combat. Choosing the Cleric of Shar responses seems like a great idea if you want to be a murder hobo and if you are playing as Shadowheart, why wouldn't you want to choose her unique dialogue options?

Definitely the opposite. Shadowheart approves everytime you help someone or make what would generally be considered the morally right choice. Even from the beginning of the game, her kind nature shines through the facade she puts on. This is proven especially during the party in camp with her reaction to what you choose between saving or massacring the Tiefling refugees.

@@patrioticbat She gives +1 approval for helping people and +10 for letting her kill Lae'zel and another +10 for telling her that you trust her decision for killing Lae'zel. Her evil decisions improve her approval MUCH faster than good decisions. If you have the party with the Goblins after killing the Tieflings and read her mind the narrator will tell you: "She's killed before, enjoyed it even". Her main problem might actually be the fact that by siding with the goblins, you shut off any possibility of getting help from Halsin, something that was very important to her. If you don't recruit her until you meet her at the druid grove, she will literally mention Halsin and how you have to find him as he's the best way to get help for the tadpoles.
