Jenica you will never see what something can become if you don't take your walls down. It's the yin to the yang. You can't love deeply without feeling deep pain. It is what it is. The pain/embarrasment etc is worth the eyperience. Allow yourself to have that experience. It doesn't say anything about you if someone else fucks up. Josh, if you wholeheartedly agree with how your mom feels about your dad, there is nothing wrong with standing that ground. It's actually beautiful. As a Mom of a little boy whose father treated me like less than dirt and also cheated on me multiple times; I'm sure your Mom is very proud of you. You could have become like your Dad or your Mom. Looks like you chose the side full of love and good examples. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. As a matter of fact, there is everything right with it. Be the change you want in the world. When you marry and have kids remember what your mom and you wrnt through as a result of your fathers actions. Know how important and impactful your actions are. Be present, love, forgive, be loyal and honest. Most importantly don't be selfish. ❤
