Jenika, I am hearing you speaking about your relationship with God, and your convictions about OF. As a sister in Christ not on some religious mess but someone who loves and cares deeply for your salvation. I believe those convictions are from God, and I pray that you respond to them. You are set apart from this world.and what we do matters because we reflect Christ. You are young, your circle is surrounded by influencers, singers, muscians , I can understand going that route would make sense, everyone around you is doing it. But you are different. Your life is marked by God and He will keep speaking to you. You are a light that shines in this dark world. And that light is very evident when you speak. Just by hearing you speak and tend to people. That just shows what a light you are. That light is Christ. Even though going to church will not save you it is important to go to church and be surrounded by a body of believers that have the same lifestyle the same beliefs, I know going to church helped me change my lifestyle of partying and drugs. It is a sacrifice to FULLY serve Christ with your WHOLE LIFE but it is worth it in the end. ◄ Mark 8:36 ► And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Hebrews 10:25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

God wants us to go to church it humbles us and helps us grow. 😊 I thought the same as you but now that am more committed the fellowship and support is lovely it’s the body of Christ. ❤ There was not an actual surrendering in my heart till I started going. I use to think our (mine and Gods) relationship was great but I was missing out. Blessings to you and much prayer. ❤ Am so happy you even mention the subject because the Hispanic young community needs more Jesus he’s coming soon we must be ready. ”Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come.“ Mark 13:33

You're so right about grieving,i lost my mom almost 15 years ago and i feel i just started grieving her the right way.I feel i keeped all my emotions to myself cause i was worried about others and this past christmas it hit me.For no reason i would just cry thinking about her and missing her even more. The pain never goes away we just learn how to live with it.😭

I love your podcast! I’ve grieved my dad who has passed (and still grieving) and I’m also grieving my living mother, because she changed so much after my dad died. It’s so hard. And I love that you have a relationship with God. Hopefully you read this, but I thought church wasn’t for me either, but church really fills my cup. And I’m not talking about mass. I’m talking, having a church family and growing in faith together. For me church is another weapon in my spiritual warfare. I’m 32 and when I was younger I felt judged at church. But now that I’m older, and when I saw “behind the scene” of the church, it was beautiful.

I agree with the greiving My brother pasted away almost 4 years ago and I thought staying busy working 6 to 7 days a week working more than 8 hours a shift would help me grieve faster but no it doesn’t to me he is still out driving his work truck on a long road trip as his anniversary gets closer my heart feels it and I know I need to let it out to heal and be who he wanted me to be but it’s hard since he isn’t here physically thank you Jenika for your over comfort podcast really does help again thank you love you lots ❤

Breaking generational curses includes forging healthy romantic relationships. Sis I know being extremely independent is something that was modeled to you by your mother, Jenni, but it may be linked to past trauma and can negatively impact one’s well-being and relationships. Your mom had to be that way as a result of trauma from being single mom, toxic relationships, and an incredible pressure to make as much profit as possible at the EXPENSE of her family. If you follow your mother’s extreme hyper-independence model, you will not be fulfilled and will never forge a healthy balance of INTERDEPENDENCE in your romantic relationship and marriage. In the Christian model, we wives submit to our husbands, but this doesn’t mean “depending on a man”. We depend on God’s will. Your partner should 100% submit to God first so that he can lead you and your family in the future to peace and stability.

PEOPLE BEING RUDE TO THEIR PARENTS AND NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE CALLS, thats what Vanessa,Jose and Wilito are doing!! Not spending time with their parents! Wanting to earn money fast instead of spending it with their families? Ok you should Lead them into the right direction, instead of lying about Vanessa signing a lease to lie about her just to move out here, its plain disgusting. Mom shaming a mom without her being one thats just disgusting human being. I bet your mom got mom shaming, and it makes you mad right! “A sorry doesn’t work unless there’s change” YOU and VAL are supporting Vanessa, she says sorry a million times, and she doesnt change. You are contradicting yourself. why dont you discuss why are you helping them so much?

❤ always great advice. You are wise beyond your years. Very good advice about investing for retirement at a young age. One often doesn’t think about that when you are young. Money is often a taboo subject in many families. Everyone should contribute max amount to 401k and even get a high yield saving account. I would get a financial advisor and map out a plan. Best way to do it really. I wish I would have when I was younger. 😢 I had some major health issues at 24y/o and became disabled. I’m 47 now and I barely make it on $1200 a month. It’s a real challenge. I have nothing saved for retirement, it absolutely terrifies me.

It's so sad that someone told you if you don't go to church every Sunday God would hate you. That has never been the point of going to church. God does not hate anyone. God asks for one day only- out of the 7 days of the week he gave us Sabbath - day of rest - to go to church and praise him

12:38 These statements feel so out of touch with reality for a lot of people. “Make investments” okay but there are people barely making ends meet. People are just wanting to be able to go to the doctors, pay rent etc. Yes, you were given assets and you grew that, but you were given that foundation. And it’s obviously not your fault, there is a bigger system at play. But these statements come off as pretentious and not sensible.
