I fell in love with Melissa this interview. She was humble by the experience that even her tone softened. An elder alpha dropping gems n a younger alpha soaking up everything she could. I lived for the non verbal exchanges n energy. Best interview by far
When Melissa was wiping her tears and she looked at her and told her “you’re alright baby” mannnn I choked up real quick. I agree with you this interview made me like Melissa wayy more.

She said a mouth full when she said Jesus was black women's husband. My mother said that to me because the men in her life never gave her what she needed so she went to the Lord. I cried when I found that out because she never gives herself the credit she deserves for pulling our family together and keeping it together she gives it away to god. She is a strong woman and I thank her for her sacrifices.

Cecille Hylton ....I so related with her story about the preacher, same story for me except it was a neighbor. Mr. Prince, came to mow our lawn, knew my mother wasn't home, I'm 12 yrrs. old. He comes in the back door, grabbed me by the waist went in for a kiss, I jerked away. He asked if I were alone, knowing I had 3 brothers, who were asleep. I told him yes they were home. He eased right out the door. My mother came home, I started telling the story to her. She went out the front door, confronted him in front of his wife, he told her it didn't happen. She told him "My daughter doesn't lie. Boom... She was hero at that moment.

Many times as black and brown women, were told to put a lid on our passion and expression. It’s sooo lovely to hear her speak. I was raised by women of this character, and I’ve realllly struggled with my transition into corporate America. Thank you for allll the vulgarity, and love, and passion. You’re the GOAT.
