Also, if you didn't know, at 5.07, when Hwasa and Wheein turn to each other to harmonise, the lyrics say "half of my life is with you", and it means a lot because they literally, met each other in middle school, had the same dream to be a singer, moved to seoul together, got into the same company together, debuted in the same group, they've just been together for so long through the ups and downs.. I get emotional every time I listen to that part :(

They are one of the most talented, humble, funny, beautiful group ever, they love each other SO MUCH like they were born to be together, they were born to be Mamamoo. They complement each other in every level possible, their voices fit so well together, even their personality are so similar. The thing that made me fall in love with them is how human they are, they dont fake the love, they dont fake the sadness or the happiness, they just love each other and care for their friends, they are just themselves. Talent + Love + Friendship + Fun + Humbleness = MAMAMOO 4 women, 4 artists, 4 friends, and one story They are just perfect ( btw Moonbyul and Solar are problably married or at least dating, but that is just a felling that i have haha 😊)

06:20 OMG Yes!!! If one can get the emotion and msg behind the song *even though they know nth abt the language* , that's IT and ALL! That's why music is an universal language!! You don't have to know the language when the power of music is huge enough! Jen, you know what, the first song that got you so emotional (it's called "Backwood"), it's the song that makes me to be a moomoo, because I felt the emotion (and cried hard) over the language barrier. It just feels so interesting and happy to see someone also get emotional with the same song I teared up and have the same thought!☺️ Love your reaction🥰🥰 (I login just to leave this comment😂) Maybe you should try react/check out "Backwood" the whole song when you have time. The complete version of it is really awesome and I cried even till these days😂 It's also the first song that got MMM a champion in the show "Immortal Song", so it means a lot too🥰 (Small info: MMM is the first and only girl group (as a group) that got the champion in the show "Immortal Song", and not just once only! (2 overall champ and 1 halfway champ for 2-ep-long competition). The show itself isn't favor for idols but for singers who have many years of experience (10yrs+) with great stage performance and vocal ability, and It had a broad audience age range which composite of older ppl so it's not easy for idols deciding to join, and not to mention, to win. But MMM joined 13 times and won 3 times😍 Immortal Song proved how excellent they are, even more than the song they released, and was one of the reasons that makes MMM to get famous from a small company. It gave MMM chance to shine and generates many moomoos 😂😂

Heh, yep. Many a radish was born in Immortal Songs 2. As you said, it’s a competition show. Each episode several artists appear and do covers of usually-older songs that are famous in Korea (hence immortal), often (always? not sure) with the artists who originally made the songs famous present. It isn’t just idols who compete; the show seems to have a fair bit of prestige attached to it. Mamamoo did especially well there, partly because they suit a somewhat retro concept (especially at the time when they were most active on the show) but also because they just slay the live vocals and performance every time. They typically follow a formula where they start the cover in a more traditional style; then switch it up, building the song into a contrasting style; and finally let loose with the vocal harmonies, rap, and hype the audience up to insane levels. This medley was mostly that latter part, but in context with the more traditional styles the effect is even more powerful.

2 years after their debut, they performed with a crossdressers/gender-fluid group, Pinky Cheeks. They did that during a live performance, awards show, which is very ballsy to do in uber conservative Korea. They're all some of the most supportive of other artists and all people-- which is why the fandom is one of the nicest and supportive. Wheein's music video had a ballsy ending. I hope you get to react to their solos! Hwasa-Twit. Solar- anything from her solo album, probably Nada Sou Sou the most though. Wheein- Good Bye or Easy (recommend Good Bye bc of the emotions, recent, and the mv ending). Byul- Worthless (also called Love and Hate) and Don't forget (that one's a cover but she wrote the rap and it showcases her singing). Their concert solo stages are also FIREEE Reaction recommendation if you want to cringe: Moonbyul being greasy. :} Enjoy hehe

When they performed Decalcomanie for Queendom the day after two consecutive concert days I thought Hwasa was pushing through vocal strain and that Solar held back on some of the high belting so her voice wouldn't crack and I just wanted Wheein to get off the stage - she looked like she was going to collapse any minute. Naturally they all gave it everything they've got and were fabulous regardless of their tiredness.

This summer I studied abroad in Korea and traveled across the country by myself just to see their concert -- and they performed this medley at the concert and it was so powerful and incredible to be seeing it and all their perfect incredible impossible singing on it in person just, note after note after note that I had listened to online over and over again, that I cried while it happened. Part of the issue is that many people have ended up with copyright strikes against them on youtube when reacting to the original Immortal Songs vids, which has left a lot of reactors really cautious about watching/ reacting. I had suggested a performance to a reactor last year and his vid got pulled and he got a copyright warning. I felt so awful for suggesting it and leaving him in that position. :(
