yeah side effects is a psytrance genre that's why you never heard something like that in kpop, stray kids is the first kpop group to use psytrance genre.. you can see alot of other kpop groups using psytrance after stray kids did it.. stray kids are getting alot of backlash because of that but 3Racha never afraid to experiment their discography, u can listen to the tortoise and the hare, i dont think u ever heard a song like that in kpop..

Side Effects is the most hated song of SKZ. People calling it noise and all. Only SKZ brought this genre (psytrance) in k-pop. That's my fave title track of them. Listen carefully to the beat drop (chorus part) once again. The lyrics that's not clear because of the beats are: "Common side effects may include nervousness, insomnia, nausea, agitation, anxiety, sweating, vision problems, psychosis, numbness, dizziness, headaches, weight loss." That statement clearly speaks about what the song is conveying. Side effects of a medicine (example, anti-depressant pills, etcetera) that's usually prescribed to people with mental illness like depression, anxiety, and such. You can also see it in their choreography, which is really chaotic and has a lot of hand movements that symbolizes what's going on in one's head whenever anxiety or other mental illness attacks him/her. The back-up dancers represents each member's shadows. (Credits to other stays' theories that I included here) This is why Side Effects is a piece of art, not just an ordinary EDM. It's a masterpiece with great artistic expression that proves Stray Kids' uniqueness and amazing talent. It is once again, produced by 3RACHA. More love to your channel! ❤️

As a Stay myself I can where youre coming from but I'm also a kpop multistan, so I can say no matter what fandom youre from theres always going to be ANTIs in disguise.

I think now the only side of Stray Kids you haven’t seen (in regards to their music) would be the quirky fun ones. ‘Awkward silence’ and ‘Get cool’ being the most notable of the quirky fun songs, you really can’t skip them they are a must listen for any baby Stay (they do have mvs). I would also recommend ‘Chronosaurus’ it is somewhat.... I was about to say under appreciated even within the fandom but actually I think it’s just one that get put to the side a lot in favour of the more well known mvs/songs, they have so many some of the good ones get left out sometimes. It really is a great song that I highly recommend, it’s mysterious, great vocals and vocal layering with impactful rapping too! Soo yeah those three are definitely songs you should check out when you can.

What I personally get from the MV and lyrics, they were leaving the city entering maze (yellow wood) feeling the side effects I think in my opinion they’re talking about the side effects of being kpop artist *Faded voice in the background names the side effects but it’s hard to hear it over the music and also the split scene where they’re shown on the bus sleeping & walking on a dark road. I think thats them dreaming which shows they never got off the bus* ... first they’re in the city in MIROH MV and now it’s a combination concept of Hellevator & District 9. I’m sure i’m not the only one who noticed the bus bus in the opener, I Am You fashion, elevator behind them, city in the sky and the key to the elevator at the end. *SIDE EFFECTS THAT FANS GET: COMPLETE SHOCK & CONFUSION* 😵😶 My biases are Bang Chan, Felix, Changbin, Lee Know and I.N but I love & support the whole group. #SideEffects #StrayKids
