Believe it or not, I think season 2 is even better. Lester wasn't feeling guilty sleeping with her because Hess slept with his wife before they were together and threw it in Lester's face that day. It was just simply revenge. 32:25 First time I watched this and heard Kitty say, "so if there's anything from the house you want" I had a dark thought that Lester was going to try and sleep with his brother's wife too! Time jumps happen more than you think. The Last of Us season one has a big time jump. The, "we're doing good" line at 45:45 is one of the same lines the Fargo movie ended with when they were in bed. Hope to see season 2 soon!

So glad you watched this, Jen! The second season is just as good, just as crazy. I miss the outros, where you break down your thoughts at the end! Though, it is pretty clear how much you loved it, regardless. I mentioned it in another comment, but "Legion" is by the same showrunner, and it's just as good. That brief exchange between Malvo and Lou, Molly's father, might just be the my favourite moment of the second half of season 1. Lou realises immediately that something is not right with Malvo, but this doesn't bother Malvo in the slightest, quite the opposite in fact. Malvo seems to revel in being seen, and even though both stay polite and keep up the facade, the tension is palpable. Great writing and an amazing score, you don't need much more.

Cant shake the feeling that the director made a critics of the police work when you hear them say on the radio "suicide by police"... The guy was taped to a chair.. how can they sincerely conclude that it was suicide by cop ? ... so blatantly idiotic to conclude that... its gotta mean something more... Also, this blizzard shootout is one of the best scene of the decade in a tv series in my opinion. I would say that it was Molly's fault that she got shot to be quite honest. Twice she left her partner in the cold, disappearing without communicating during an active shooting IN A BLIZZARD, cmon Molly, that cant be what they teach you at the academy.

Good catch spotting Key and Peele! You should definitely check out Peele's horror films. I think you'd like them. They're in the horror genre, but they're more sophisticated and elevated modern horror than the typical stuff. Start with Get Out, which is more suspense than horror (but still in the genre) and it's probably his most popular film. Follow that up with Nope for another suspensful film that's still technically horror. Peele's film Us is more straight horror with violent deaths, but not really anything you haven't seen elsewhere so you should be fine.
