My mom used to have hella plants. Like out house was practically a jungle. My dad loved it bc when my mom was sick it gave her something to do bc she couldn’t work anymore. And every Friday when he got paid the first thing he did was buy her a new plant. She knew so much about them and every room had a different section. Everyday after school I would always go around the house and help her take care of them. When she was too sick to walk my oldest sister would take her around in the wheel chair and I would go back and forth filling up the watering jug. Then when she passed, no matter what we did the plants just kept dying. We had someone at a nursery tell us why they wouldn’t survive. And he had no idea he said it was almost like the plants were feeling grief as well. So slowly all the plants died and when we noticed that without all the plants the house looked empty. Couple weeks later we moved out the house and never really decided to plant again. Until recently for my moms 10th anniversary I decided to go out and buy a plant. And so far it’s doing okay. I’ve been keeping a close eye on it. I’m 18 now and the last time I really took care of a plant I was 8 so I don’t have much memory on what they need, I’ve been doing a lot of research so wish me luck.

I watched jenna's videos ever since i was a lil 13 year old and i absolutely love her. Im now 22 years old and coming back to this video because i JUST got into being a plant mama, bought some cape rain daisies, some lil white daisies, 2 aloe veras (one with a flower growing so tall!!! Stands at almost 3 ft tall), a Ti Plant, and 2 sensevieria laurentii 😂 im soo excited about this and i feel so nostalgic watching jenna after all this time since her last upload. My mom passed away last March. She was a fanatic with plants. To the point where her bed canopy was made up of a plant that wrapped around the four bed posts and bloomed beautiful flowers that smelled so sweet and oozed what we liked to call flower “honey”. I never knew the name of this plant until I rewatched this video in memory of my mom. 3:08 shows the flowers this plant made, right upper corner. Thank you Jenna, your kind heart still reaches and touches people. I hope you are just as happy as I am right now knowing the name of mama’s favorite plant. 🕊️

She’s still a beginner. I might even say she’s more of an advanced learner though and is a little above beginner. . I’m a beginner and I feel I know a decent amount already. It’s really a matter of learning plants names and learning what they like in terms of watering and sunlight and fertilization and some other factors.
