God bless you AMEN!!! God is not a mythical creature or an unreal thing same as Jesus Christ. He is real you can see him outside the universe and once after your death you will meet Jesus in heaven. Dont believe in Athiest because only CHRISTIAN and CATHOLIC people can see the power of God. Athiest believes in science so in my opinion they will never see the power of God because they are not a believer. Right now youre a believer in God so you can see the power of God. AMEN

May the Lord show you the path that lead to him. God is so wonderful!!! I was raised in a Buddhism family and was baptized at age 8 by my mother’s decision. She has said a prayer for a safe journey and was miraculously delivered to Malaysia. From than on my mother, I and my brother was baptized into Catholic Church. But I didn’t become a true believer until I’m in my 40. Since than I’ve been praying and trying to walk with our Lord. I love that quote that she had read. I too have experiences many difficulties but the Lord had helped me through it all. Overall my life has been so wonderful! I could never thank our God enough. I love our Lord so much now. He’s my everything and I try and pray to please him everyday. That’s the least I can do is to live out his teaching to so him how great full I’m. God bless everyone.

"Inexplicable medical miracle" If it's inexplicable, how did you reach God as an explanation? Wouldn't the right answer be "I don't know?" " and at another time having died and sent back. That's the only way an atheist will be convinced. When it personally happens to you." Well, it did, and I remain unconvinced because I know what Out of Body Exp. and Near Death Exp. are. They been laboratory tested and debunked. So, you have one case of making up an answer because you didn't know the truth, and another where you accepted a premade explanation because of the same reason.

@@eddyeldridge7427 Oh, I feel so sorry for you. I've talked to many atheists. You're the kind that will never , ever accept anything. No, mine wasn't a near death experience. No tunnel of light, seeing relatives,etc. The medical team said they had lost me and the medical miracle was reviewed and no medical explanation could be given for "spontaneous muscle, tendon and growth plate production resulting in lengthening a shortened leg which I was witness to. You can say what you like, believe what you like, but only blame yourself when you come face to face with God one day and try to argue that you needed proof. She makes me proud that I was raised Catholic and now an atheist. She is making her living off of her "conversion story". There's a lot of money to be made in religion and she's doing just that. I don't believe her. Go to Prototype Atheist youtube page. He read her book and called her out on her claims. He has a video on it in which he makes some *very* interesting points. Peace.

Charles There's not a lot of money to be made in religion. Priests' and ministers' salaries are pretty low. And yeah, the books she writes, but if she has a lot of medical issues I'm glad she's getting money from something.

Charles I watched the video. He admitted that he didn't read the book, first of all. He really didn't give any reasonable points, he basically read off her story and called it irrational without any real explanation on why it's irrational. Did I watch the wrong thing?
@Charles-Anthony
@Charles-Anthony 7 жыл бұрын
Rachel Roeber I admit that priests' salaries and living standards are modest. But that's not true for many Protestant ministers, especially Evangelicals. There are many Evangelical ministers and preachers making many millions of dollars per year. You wouldn't believe how wealthy many of them are. Some even have their own private jets and yachts. She may never attain that wealth, but she could possibly make a handsome sum, and have popularity and fawning admirers too.
@Charles-Anthony
@Charles-Anthony 7 жыл бұрын
Rachel Roeber Her whole story seems contrived. It reads like the perfect conversion story. It's exactly what someone would write if they were fabricating it. That's why so many people disbelieve her. She possibly struggled with her faith, but many are skeptical that she was ever an atheist.

Before 70 AD, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims came every year to Jerusalem, they certainly would have gotten the straight and skinny that this Jesus was a mixture of other failed Messiah candidates....but that never came up. A man sought truth and was surprised to find that everything he’d known to be true was already to be found in Catholicism. He was a writer and changed the minds of many atheists and anti-Catholics. There was another man, an atheist, who also sought truth. He read the works of the first man and through this found the God he had not thought real and the truth of Christianity. He wrote, too, and his works have changed the minds of many atheists. There was a third man, a Hindu, and an atheist, who also read the works of the first man; he became a holy Hindu and a force for good still effective to this hour. The first man was G.K. Chesterton. The second man was C.S. Lewis. The third man was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Jenifer Fulwiler was an atheist and she will encourage atheists to come home. The work of God works through our efforts when our efforts are guided by God.

I think it's a human thing. To put themselfs in a group where they belong and be proud of it or cheer for it. It's more in our nature than our intelect. Small dose of that makes sports intersting, a big dose of it is dangerous. So when people say "I'm proud to be Catholic" I don't think they mean it like it's their doing, the reason they're Catholic is obviously Gods mercy but more like I'm proud to be apart of this group.

Hi Ysa. I know you wrote this post a long time ago, and you might be in a completely different situation now, but I wanted to reply to your post. For nonreligious reasons against contraception, I have some. First, medicine often is used to treat a problem (ex: for hypertension we give anti hypertension meds), but with hormonal birth control we are using it to stop pregnancy, which is a natural, normal, and healthy process for women (I know birth control can help some problems, but I think most people take it to stop pregnancy). Birth control also has many side effects like blood clots and depression. My question would be why take something with so many side effects when you are not even treating a disease? Birth control also can cause an abortion if you do ovulate by thinning the cervix, so the baby cannot implant there. Pro lifers however do have different opinions on birth control. You and your boyfriend may not have used this method, but there are problems with other methods too. IUDs can cause ectopic pregnancies if you ovulate. Besides for the side effects though, I think the psychology of birth control and what you are saying to your partner is the biggest reason to not use it. If someone loves you Ysa like it sounds like your boyfriend does then he should be willing to commit to you, marry you, and have children with you. Birth control is saying I love you and trust you to a certain point, but not enough to have a child with you. If you have questions let me know or tell me where I am wrong. I want to learn more about this. I hope this helps and that your quest to find the truth about this and God has born fruits in your life. I will be praying for you and that God will bless you.

At about 15:00 she starts describing the birth of her baby and asks herself what is that baby in an atheist, materialistic point of view. She says it's a "randomly evolved set of chemicals which came from nothing and returns to nothing." First off, that makes her a very bad philosopher. Atheists believe in consciousness, feelings, value, love, etc. In fact, atheists give more value to life than Christians do. Christians just believe that life is nothing but a stepping stone on the way to eternity. Such a belief trivializes life. Atheists often believe that there is no afterlife; this makes life *INFINITELY* meaningful. If there is no afterlife, life has *more* meaning. That's why atheists tend to believe in human rights: good health care, good education, adequate shelter and food, security, etc. are rights that belong to all people, regardless of race or any other demographic.

You simply cannot lump all Christians together like that. Only bigotry does that. That is not 'the essence' of what they believe. The 'essence' is 'Jesus is Lord.' How they live that out is 'love your neighbor.' 'Eternity' is just what happens afterward. This life is not at all 'just a stepping-stone.' It's not 'semantics.' It's truth.

Unclenate1000 Yeah, ok. Let's journey to the logical conclusion of your inference: that a mother should contemplate the child she holds in her arms, and feel- nothing much really. Ludicrous, no? But even were that possible, would it be desirable? As was already stated, that love that experienced is transcendent, not a mere emotion. People who live closer to the fullness of the human experience, grasp this rather easily. It is only a bad philosophy of life (like atheism) that would strive to cut oneself off from the experience of love.

Funny story, a few days ago I asked a nun what must I do to be saved and get to heaven just to see her answer. She said all I have to do is be good, and do good works. I said oh really, what if I'm a muslim and dont believe in Jesus can I still go to heaven. She said yes. I quickly asked the Holy Spirit in my mind what I should respond to her. So I revealed to her that I was actually a former catholic and why i left. I mentioned John 14:6 to her, that jesus is the way the truth and the life, and is the only way to heaven. I also told her the bible says, he who hath the son hath life he who hath not the son hath not life. She heard what I said but ignored it, and said "it's not about Jesus". We talked more and ended on a good note, but my point was to show her how far removed catholics have become from the simple gospel. ITS ALL ABOUT JESUS! Jesus died for our sins so that we can go to heaven. We have to believe on him. Praise the Lord

She misses the point. Why should God choose a special person being the mother of his newborn Son? That is human logic, nothing else. Why should God be logical in a human way? He owes us no logic. The Bible doesn't tell us that the mother would be special. It only tells us that there would be one sign to show that her child really is the Messiah: she would be a virgin, yet being pregnant.

Juliane Pidde Do you have an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ? If so, you can ask Him how He sees His mother. If you ask honestly, and put aside all personal opinions for a time, you will have new revelations from Him that may contradict your previous opinions. When this happens, it is wise to accept what He teaches you and unwise to cling to your own opinions.

Francis Theophilus I see his mother as described in the Bible and Jesus sees her like this too. Of course. The Bible comes from God, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Why would Jesus contradict it? You need to prove, if you are only wishfully thinking that Mary has this Godlike sinless status that you assume. Because the Bible doesn't support this.

I can't even say that much about myself. I have no explanation that you could call at least half-baked. And yet...at 39 I turned into a believer from a hard core atheist and I had no hand in it at all. Nothing happened to me, no tragedy, shock, nor been taken to the church by a friend nor been forced by anyone. It's just happened.I can't explain it to the priest either, he still thinks maybe it's just a phase or someone persuaded me. His first question was whether I want to get married (No). I can see in his eyes that he thinks, once I will become familiar with the 10 commandments and the every day practice of being a catholic, I will run away and forget about it. He is wrong. But I don't blame him, looking at the world, I would be sceptical too.I heard someone say this once: you can't look for God, He will look for you and He will find you. So you aren't 'safe' either. :) It's not up to you.All I can do is searching for answers and hope for some fully-baked ideas before I die. But it's irrelevant, I don't need reasoning to have faith. If I'd based my beliefs on well constructed arguments then it wouldn't be faith. And would only last as long as the next better argument comes along.

All conversion is the work of the Holy Spirit. Not words. That's why its all unreasonable until its your time. The Holy Spirit searches hearts and knows exactly what is in each and how to approach each person. But we have to also be open to Him - I believe that's why many miss their "visitation". @@cbooth151 While hell in the OT refers to Gehenna, in the NT, "hell" is the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:10) and "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
