As far i know, she was a singer before she converted to Islam. That vocal exercise for years helped her a lot. What she needed was to learn Arabic and the techniques of Quran recitation. And she did that as well.

For anyone wanting to know what she is reciting in English: 2:285 The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination." 2:286- Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people." These are the only verses that were not revealed on earth, they were revealed while prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was on the night journey, the night of ascension to a different realm.

Slm Mr whatwaa I just wanted to pop in and give u hope as I'm South African Indian and Arabic isn't my first language tho when I started as a kid to learn the quraan we used a learners guide with jus pronunciation and basics .thereafter I moved to a more advanced version such as joined letters and then words. Soon enough with practice I as well as everyone in my class could read fluently. I don't know Arabic but Allah has made the quraan not only for Arabs but for the entire ummah no matter the race or nationality.
