To this date, that’s my all time favorite performance by JHud. Her vocals are top notch. She’s able to vocalize notes w/sheer ease. Her tones and phrasing are solid: they’re simply on point. One note about the proximity singing. Al Green used to use it a lot in fairly dramatic ways. There's a video or two floating around of him performing live and he would actually walk around the stage singing. He'd be 5' from the mic and then move up to it and move away again and he used it to get that dynamic. It's not that Jennifer doesn't use it anyway. She does, but I think she purposely dramatized it in this tribute for that reason. Which makes it all the more awesome imo.
