Tanya Trotter from The War and Treaty shares how she was flown out to Los Angeles and invited to Whoopi Goldberg’s house when she was cast in “Sister Act 2.” Michael Trotter Jr. discusses how he learned to write songs while serving in Iraq and learned to play piano on one of Saddam Hussein’s pianos.

We first saw The War and Treaty several years ago in a field. Actually was in a friends backyard during a small music festival that they were putting on at their property. Kind of a yoga music art festival. So it was a sunny Sunday after most everybody else had left and we sat on the grass in front of a small stage and listened to these two sing. It was absolutely mesmerizing and all the way home all we could say was oh my gosh those people are going to be famous. Let’s remember that we saw them way back when. And they really did sing to a field of 25 people as if they were at Carnegie Hall. It was amazing.
