@ some time back I saw a source that said Jennifer Lara’s was released in 2015 but after seeing your post I went and look again and sources are showing 1981, the exact same year Evelyn Champagnes “I’m in love” was released. I’m confused now. The interesting thing is, Evelyn Champagnes “im in love” and Jennifer Lara’s “I am in love” was both written by the same man whose name is Kashiff. He is from New York and because of that, I am inclined to think Evelyn’s version was first and Jennifer’s version was second or either they were both released at the same time. Back in the days Jamaican versions of Black American songs were produced after the black American Version. However I could be wrong of course. Getting down to the bottom of true facts seems to be challenging with Google.
