Jlo started working with Tommy Motolla after Mariah switched labels. Jlo and Tommy stole Mariah's song before she had time to release it and ruined her entire era. If someone stole from me, I wouldn't like them either. Especially if that person was significantly less talented and didn't put in half the effort that I put in. Mariah takes her music very seriously, so for someone as gimmicky as Jlo to come along and steal her music was a slap in the face.

I can't believe the comments I'm reading on this page. People actually trying to say J-Lo is more talented, more classy, and a better person than Mariah Carey. Spoken like people that really have not done their homework. JLo has had way more rude Diva moments with people that Mariah Carey has, Mariah Carey is a hell of a lot more talented, and Mariah Carey is way more established, and has done quite a bit for people in the way of inspiration, and even contributions. Not saying JLo isn't beautiful or talented in her own right, because she is. But her voice is not Mariah Carey. I give her credit where credit is due none the less. but it seems to me that most people out there don't like Mariah Carey simply because of what they've heard, rather than actually observing her through interviews and hearing what she actually has to say. They take her joking as her being a diva, when she's mentioned that when she does that she's playing around because of what people say about her. it bothers me that we have lived in a world where talent has not been respected anymore, and when any half talented person with a good beat to their song is considered a 'singer'. I really miss the days where people respected talented people instead of casting them into the Shadows to exalt people who don't deserve to be exalted.

Jo Co Mariah has absolutely NO respect for anyone, so please DO tell me WHY we should have respect for her? And I think you're incorrect! She is not just "trying" to be a little funny by acting like an over-inflated Diva! She IS that conceited, narcissistic and insensitive! She probably thinks that by acting snobbish with her nose up in the air, she will look like a LADY, when in essence, she is emphasizing all her negative attributes instead(rudeness, insensitivity, disrespect, lacking in class, etc.). Furthermore, since she's more interested in looking sexy rather than in providing a good performance by concentrating on preparing her voice, she is not delivering what is expected of her. And consequently, many of her followers may make an about face! Time will tell!

Adlin Osar until you have bothered watching an interview of hers, watching an episode of Mariah's world, or have even bother to read an article about her that's actually accurate, you really can't say anything about her other than your own personal views based off of what youve heard/personally seen. Mariah is actually a pretty awesome person, if you actually take the time to get to know the way she presents herself in interviews, and in all true reality. Everything I mentioned about her, has been talked about by herself. This wasn't just Word of Mouth from someone else. She's actually quite the real person in her interviews , as well as with her fans. and the reason why people haven't liked Mariah has been because of her being raw and real, as opposed to putting on a fake facade like someone like JLo ("always being a performer" even in real life). if there's anything she does not care about, it has been modern-day pop-culture, and the lackluster spectacle it has become. meanwhile in that very Market, is where someone like J-Lo, who isn't that good of a singer, thrives. Sexuality and loud beats have been enough today to justify a lack of talent , meanwhile someone like Mariah Carey has been ridiculed and looked at as a "diva" really because of haters that don't like her to be hateful. They want to see her fall. and with that being said, to each their own is really the best philosophy. but I'm a fan of Mariah Carey for more than just her music, her style, and her flair. I also see the raw and real person she is, and the effort that she makes as an artist , in a sea of mere performers.

Jo Co If it makes you any happier, I am basing my comments about MC on the shows I've seen her on, on the behavior I've witnessed, and from some of the interviews I've seen. I'm not simply "talking the talk"! And I've formulated my judgments/opinions on the basis of all those things I've seen. I can't see anything wrong in that. Actually, although I've read many articles about her, I really don't give a rat's behind about most of them because they are generally even more biased than some of the nonsense I've read here. Some of those writers have a tendency to mercilessly bash celebrities or just the opposite, according to how much they like the person they are describing. And what's all that about J-Lo? I only commented on MC, not J-Lo. Listen, you're entitled to your opinions and I'm entitled to mine because that's just what these sites are all about! Nice chatting with you! Have a nice day!

If you compare this interview with those of Mariah you notice that J Lo is classier, funnier and more down to earth and unlike Mariah, she doesn't need to do subtle shady comments after all these years. J Lo simply couldn't care less about Mariah's performance and this is better than any bitter comment Mariah has ever made.
