Filter=borderline false advertising If you're trying to promote a skin care line. Not only does she get a filter on a video, but she also gets an additional amount of medical support for the way she looks. Average people don't think about that.

Agreed. A filter is like a lie. Her skin is not that great irl. If she shows her flaws then ppl won’t buy her products. Kind of like using wispies with mascara and saying how great the mascara makes your lashes look

I absolutely agree, aging is scary. Glad you said that! I so wish JLo was more truthful and forthcoming about her procedures, skin type, injections, etc. This was just a commercial for her skincare line. No honesty out of her unfortunately.

@suzihazlove4979 it kind of makes me angry because I'm the same age as Jlo and would have appreciated some details on what she has done. However, she is a multi millionaire so we can't even relate to her accessibility of anything she wants.

@@maryhazelwood7441 I would watch Dr. Gary’s video. He talks about some of the things she might have had done with the possibility of things as simple as Botox, fillers and neck tightening up to a nose job and possible jaw implant/lift. I feel whatever about getting those done, just don’t lie about it. Who cares if you had a nose job or Botox/fillers? Just don’t try and tell me you look that way without them or tell me if I buy your line of products I can look like you.

Susan I totally agree about the "aging is scary". I am in my mid 40s now and my focus was usually just about the face and exterior for decades but now I really have to refocus. There is just so much actual important stuff to take care of for the body and mind. Whatever you can do to find those moments of "rituals" or "affirmations" really do make a difference. Whatever keeps you going and focused!

I think there is a filter. Her forehead is blurry and so is her nose area. They've probably set the filter to 6 or 7 😂

“Aging can be scary” thank you for saying it. It’s nice that we’re trying to be more positive, but it’s really refreshing to hear the truth. That said J Lo is beautiful AND I’d really love to see what her skincare line does without the filter. I’ve heard it’s good, but I can’t trust anyone who puts on a filter for promo.

Naturium should make a luxuriously hydrating fragrance-free, sulphate-free anti-dandruff shampoo. There is hardly any good haircare that targets dandruff except Nizoral, Tgel and Vanicream. None of them are cruelty free. Hair needs some love too.

P.s. I'm 61, and I'm so glad to hear another woman radically honest about aging. I say the same thing. Aging is Terrific, cuz were alive. But I HATE IT. TRUTHFULLY, CAUSING ME ANXIETY. EVERY NEW CONDITION I GET DIAGNOSED WITH. UGGG

The whole sleep thing- i understood the complete opposite as Susan, i think JLo meant that your face/skin looks terrible if you undersleep (less than 4 hours), or if you oversleep (more than 7 hours), which I can understand because my face looks super puffy if i oversleep.

I also understand that completely,for instance in college when I would be studying for exams if I slept under 3 hours I would feel worse than not sleeping at all,and I have to sleep more than 7,so I get what she meant,I don't know why everyone got so upset at that😅

I love that the skincare reactions are back! I am a huge JLo fan, but I really don't appreciate someone promoting a skincare line with a filter on. I wish she was a bit more honest. I agree with you in terms of her lacking confidence. She was posting photos with full make-up on by the pool during the pandemic, which made no sense to me. I am actually surprised by her being insecure about her looks. She looks great and has achieved so much, you'd think she is very confident about herself!

What she means for the sleep is that there is allegedly some scientifical evidense in finding your own sleep amount windows depending on REM cycles. So it might be more beneficial to sleep under 4h or more than 7h instead of 6 for her as she will feel less rested and her face drops... im wondering if she still sleeps 6h or chooses to sleep under 4h if the 7+window cannot be met...who knows:)

I have recommended her skin care line to people and even though they were skeptical, they ended up loving it! I do wish the prices for it were better, but they are truly good products. Who know if she uses them every day, but I am glad she has a great skin line that delivers!

It’s difficult to tell how involved JLO is with her online content and promotions. The video editor could have added the filter so the clip “looks better” - not necessarily that JLO requested the filter or that she edited it herself.

Mayonnaise in the hair is actually a great mask, but leaving it for three hours under a shower cap is actually an amazing and cheap lice treatment so long as you don't have a severe case or incredibly thick hair. My brother kept bringing lice home in 1st grade, until the third month when my mom got annoyed and shaved his head. Everyone kept using the medicated shampoo, whereas I decided to try the mayo kick our PCM recommended. It killed them, and I never got them again, plus my hair looked amazing when it was all over. I was doing a mask every weekend. You just have to use a real mayo, not something fake like Miracle Whip.

She works for an industry that DEVALUES women as they get older. The truth is almost everyone uses filters on social media. We ALL choose how we want to present ourselves on social, we pick the best angle, the right filter etc. So, to expect celebrities to show us their raw unfiltered selfs is highly unrealistic.

I read that physical sunscreens, like titanium and zinc oxide types, go on last. But that chemical sunscreens go first, so that may absorb into the skin. I use one by Neutragena. The physical type leave a white cast on my face.

I tried a few of JLO’s skin care line and felt it was decent , but over priced and the packaging was clunky and wasteful. I am loving your Naturium line, reasonable prices, classy minimal packaging and great formulas!

So I am confused 😕 I read that IF your sunscreen is chemical you have to apply your sunscreen BEFORE your moustirizer and IF your sunscreen is mineral you will apply your sunscreen AFTER your moustirizer. Can you clarify this for me please I want to do it right.

I heard that eye drops make you look two years younger and I used to put them in my eyes all the time as a makeup routine. One time I accidentally put crazy glue in my eye because I just went to grab where I put my eye drops in the door and it was crazy glue for some reason. It took out almost all my eyelashes on one eye several years ago. It was the reason I stopped using eye drops everyday

I JUST watched her video. Cuz I wanted to see her skin without makeup. I bet she has many procedures to get that skin that youthful. Lasers.etc. I'm honestly sick to my stomach jealous of her. I’ve heard many say that chemical sunscreens can/should go on before additional moisturizers since chemical sunscreens need to absorb into the skin to be affective. But mineral sunscreens should go on after moisturizers since it sits ON the skin to be effective. Thoughts?

I love the person she is but I hate the celebrity she is. Like Susan said it's like if they never have to show their real skin and stuff. It's just very annoying and a lot of people think it's the reality when it's fake. Just sad. Filters, professionnal treatments, procedures etc etc. I hope oneday JLo will say the real stuff and be proud of it because still she looks good.

I’ve seen a lot of girls that use the Lumify eye drops before they do their makeup everyday. Those drops work differently then brands like Visine. I like Lumify not necessarily to get rid of the redness but to make my eyes less yellow and more bright and white. It just makes you look fresher and healthier. Those eye drops really are the best and they’re safer to use everyday.

The whole original video has an angelic feel and you can see her hairline is smooth and blurred.

Her smile lines are heavily blurred too, you can see them in most photos of her quite clearly. I don't think she has a lot of wrinkles or anything, but the filter has to be there.
