I saw this whilst living in Monterrey NL, Mexico, in that year. I had a blast overthere. Beautiful city. Pinche Johnny Canalitos!!!! he still had the nerve to say Jenifer Peña was the “new queen” of Tejano. No Johnny!!! No one gets to succeed the late Queen Selena, much less take her crown!!!! I do love Jennifer Peña tho. Very talented, beautiful woman!!! …but what happened to her?

There is no “next queen” amigo. Selena was the one, and only Queen of TEX MEX. I gotta give it to Jennifer Peña tho. She is both beautiful and very talented. It would’ve been good to hear her jamming out to more Tejano music these days.
