Uau ❤ ... A voz dela não mudou nada desde o primeiro Álbum de 1984 , em comparação com esse Álbum de 1998 ❤ . Voz surreal 👏👏👏👏👏👏❤

At 39 years of age, she looks and sings her 'Ring of Ice' cascading her twenties and 80's into the late 90's as one. What a phenomenon !!!!

Classical Rush Hour. Nice. Even though I love the original "Ring of Ice," this classical version, in the same key of C Minor, possesses a nonpareil ethereality. The "choo-choo train" chorus in the original's intro (D#5-D5-D#5-D5-A#5-G#4) has been replaced with a supernatural call of the wild, and Maestra Rush, fashionably dressed for battle, soothes the listener with a gentler vocal. The 1998 Classics album truly was a wonderful idea, as it breathed new life into her already amazing pop-rock hits of the 80's and, in some cases, surpassed them. "Heart Over Mind" showcased the pure pulchritude of her wondrous lyric mezzo, without the original's distracting overdubs, and this version of "Ring of Ice" is more palliative than accusatory. In sum, all the classical remakes were welcome additions to her catalog of great songs.

No screaching, no belting, no cramped body, no strained faces on the high notes... Keep that in mind the next time you see one of today's pop divas singing. 😉

Yes, a wondrous singer-songwriter from a bygone era. Artists such as Maestra Rush are rarely in the mainstream today, and much of today's industry is an absolute wasteland of meaningless, poorly sung, auto-tuned drivel. Fortunately, we have this fantastic legacy that she left behind and perhaps more if she has a comeback.
@MarioStahl19835 жыл бұрын
@@gaiusvaleriuscatullus2366 I doubt that she will ever be as successful as she was in the 80s and 90s. It's not her fault. The age of sophisticated singing is over. It's all screachy belting nowadays. Opera and Operetta and a very limited number of older mucials are the only remaining genres in which "real singing" still has a place. No more Rush, nor more male Crooners, NOTHING.
@gaiusvaleriuscatullus23665 жыл бұрын
@@MarioStahl1983 That's likely true in this our presently rather ill-defined epoch of human existence. Though there is still talent in the music industry, it's not being mined all that much anymore and it mostly is not in the mainstream, if at all. Though éclat commensurate with what she enjoyed in the 80's is uncertain, she would still enjoy a very great following of older fans and some of the younger generation whose tastes haven't been perverted by contemporary media and who have discovered her through KZbin. The latter would likely be fewer in number since many kids today have lost their minds and sanity to their smartphones - at least here in the United States anyway - but there do exist some of the present generation who are sufficiently perspicacious as to realize that contemporary mainstream music is mostly offal (homophonous pun intended) and long for the music of yesteryear, through a sort of vicarious nostalgia, since they themselves weren't alive when mainstream music was preponderantly great but wish they had been. That's, of course, all dependent on whether she desires a comeback: she's still young enough that it is certainly attainable on the level described if she desiderates it, but she could also retire, if she so chooses, knowing she's left an indelible mark on the industry.

@@gaiusvaleriuscatullus2366 Sad as it may be, I would certainly not recommend Jennifer Rush to put much effort in a large scale comeback. She performs regularly here in Germany and the truth is that her voice is constantly getting weeker and weeker. I hate to say it but she is almost 60 years old now it starts to show! Her voice is not what it was 15 years ago. On most occasions here in Germany she performs playback. At the rare occasions where she performs live you can hear a big difference. Don't get me wrong she still sounds good. But she lost all the effortless power she had 20 years ago. No ardent fan should be under any illusion here.
@gaiusvaleriuscatullus23665 жыл бұрын
@@MarioStahl1983 I'm glad to hear that she is still performing, and I hope she is enjoying herself. One of the major rubs that an unusually gifted and powerful singer faces is maintaining a level of singing power similar to what audiences were accustomed to hearing when the artist was at the height of his or her career - that's not to say that it can't be done at a later stage in an artist's career - Robert Plant, Andy Williams, Tony Bennett, Engelbert Humperdinck, Tina Turner, Jessye Norman, Joni Mitchell, and Colm Wilkinson are or were great examples - but what sounds like effortless delivery is often the result of consistent training, not necessarily from a coach (since bad coaches can ruin voices), but even just from training oneself through scales or practicing songs and the like.

@gaiusvaleriuscatullus23664 жыл бұрын
Interestingly, Max, this classical version is in the same key of C Minor as the 80's disco pop version. It's just the delivery of the same notes that is softer here. As far as I remember, the only song from the Classics album that had a different key from the original was "Hero of a Fool," which Jennifer transposed down one step in the classical version.
