Now they released a new official RING OF ICE REMIX by Jennifer Rush and Stereoact. it went nr one on german iTunes download charts, did great on apple music, also in Austria and Switzerland , and well in south africa. The non german speaking countries missed actualy out. Will be great if you can do a reation. This song belongs to Jennifer, I met my husband in 1991, it was very popular in the UK at that time and they were playing it in the night clubs. Jennifer Rush is superb and it's our song for life.

if i hear Jennifer Rush's voice it reminds me at a deep dark red wine. hints of berries, black current and nuts. Celine Dion's voice is more like a Rose' wine, fruity with some bubbles in maybe. Wine connoisseurs will enjoy Jennifer's stile and sound .. the masses will go for the rose' . its modern and more show act. By the way THIS is the original .Celine made her version 9 years later

Jennifer's voice is way more soulful, precise and expressive, while Celine's is very "flat" and technical and to me it lacks the emotion, the message. Celine's version makes feel uneasy because she sounds like she's at her limits and she's about to fall apart. Jennifer sounds very natural, not over the top, just the right amount of everything in a perfect balance and she has plenty of room to spare.

I find it amazing that other Americans didn’t know their own did this song first and did it better, I love Celine but this version is what resonates with me. I’m 42 and I even knew way back when that Celine did this as a cover. And I’m Australian.

The original is from 1984 by Jennifer Rush and the fact is that the excellent voice has an origin. Her father is a well-known and celebrated tenor at the opera, her mother is a pianist and Jennifer has an extensive opera singing education. Nothing against the cover of Celine Dion, it is very good, but the original is - in my opinion - much better, more substantial and sung with warmer voice.
