I think most of the abuse happened in Jen's room. I don't see how it is possible for so many adults to be in that house and not see or hear anything. That wasn't a big house and the rooms are very close together next to room 4, I feel sorry for Angelica. Sterns had thousands of images and my bet is he was selling them online, not just of Madeline. Jen Soto needs to be charged. It's all me me me, meds, meds, meds. Madeline was being abused for years and Jen was always home. You can't play ignorant when your biggest fear is your boyfriend will one day run away with your daughter then try to get him a lawyer after seeing horrific photos of what he was doing to your child. He's a sick monster and so is she.

@@brizak70 If he drugged her downstairs he would have to carry her or help her upstairs, that's risky and if he drugged her in room 4, room mates would hear activity in the room. The only way those room mates heard nothing could be because Madeline was being abused downstairs in Jen's room when they were home. Those rooms are too close together not to hear activity coming from it along with coming and goings

Does anyone but myself find it odd that most of the activity in that home ( Jenn,Maddie and Stephan) occurs in Jenn’s bedroom? They hang out in her bedroom, they eat in her bedroom, ect..I find that creepy and odd. In our home the majority of our time is spent in the kitchen, breakfast nook, living room.

It is extremely creepy. If she wanted to allow Maddie to sleep with her, the boyfriend should sleep in the living room on the couch or the mom should sleep with Maddie in her bedroom. This is not his biological daughter. Bottom line, It is inappropriate and unacceptable. Why tempt anyone, especially a grown adult man that is in bed with a young female teenager?! Holy smokes, it breaks my heart to know any child had to endure abuse. Kids are off limits, non negotiable…

Jenn said she sent Maddie to sleep alone with Stephan upstairs "only" 3 or 4 times. If that's true, how then was Stephan able to take the THOUSANDS of photos found on his phone? Based on the amount of photos, Stephan had access to Maddie on-demand. So, either Jenn sent Maddie to sleep with him A LOT (like very other night) or the SA was happening with Jenn there - i.e. she knew about it. Remember, Jenn didn't work - she was on disability - she was home all the time. So if Jenn didn't know what was going on, how did Stephan have all that time alone with Maddie where he felt safe enough not only to SA her but take THOUSANDS of pictures of it.

Not all were done in bed. Abuse happens all over, even in public. I have seen cases where adults and kids were SA in public places like bathrooms or stairways. Nothing stops a determined guy. There were multiple people living in this home and nobody knew. Why everyone thinks Jennifer knew...no one else knew or saw it. Mothers are not always home either. We go to stores, work, out to eat, visit friends and family. We know one of the places Sterns did he crap when Maddie was quite young, and it was not in bed. They were watching TV. He told her to put her mouth for 3 seconds and she would get to play on the phone. Easy and as quiet as that. No violent attacks necessary.

@izzydoesit8663 she didn't lie about him leaving, haven't you been paying attention? The detectives knows his every move and where he went. JS would been locked up if they found out she lied. Why do everyone think they're smarter than these detectives. He definitely left, they have his car on video. He dumped her body around the time Jenn called him to come pick up Maddie with her. Ain't that sick! He knew exactly where she was, riding around with her body in the trunk while the mother is calling him. Jenn did not have anything to do with her daughter murder and I know she loved her. That's why she let her sleep in her bed. Parents that hate their kids wouldn't sleep with them. Maddie wanted to sleep with her mom too and she was upset and sad bc her mom didn't make it to her party. Some of you guys are way off.

He wasn't feeling sadness. He was ACTING sad so as to not be suspicious. An ex was/is a sociopath. One day, he said he could make himself cry on demand. Within 5 secs, tears were forming. In 10 secs, tears were flowing. Everything after Maddie disappeared and he allegedly 💀 Madelyn, was an act. I think Maddie resisted. She told him 'No.' And he became enraged and/or she thought she was pregnant. 💀 her and hiding her body, he hoped decomposition would hide DNA. I even think he would have returned to the body to move and possibly burn it. Mentally he'd be blaming his victim over and over again. "You made me do this!"

Wow! Gavin, I have watched your channel for a very long time and I'm an OG! You did a fantastic job editing this and recapping this episode for us. Thanks very much. I'm also a subscriber to Grizzly True Crime whom has mentioned you and your channel many times! Us Grizzlies love G and how she really go down the rabbit hole from beginning to end of these horrible cases. She loves map time, bullet points, interagation videos, prison phone calls..etc. Like I stated, she really digs in and I've listened to everything she has...i thought on this case with her but I DO NOT remember her covering this interview. Do you know if she has it or knows of it's release? Because I know, like you, she would already had it an gone over it with us! When did they release this one? Do you mind sharing that info here also could you or would you mind emailing Gisela K to ask/tell her that she has one of her Grizzlies was watching your channel asking about when she will or has she already got this? Thanks again! I can't wait to watch the trial..will you be streaming live with commentary? Do tell do tell 😉 🤔

For your explanation about Angelina's last name, yes, i am Mexican and for us the word Negro or Negra is not offensive at all, it is also a last name and sometimes we use it as a way to lovingly call someone, it is funny to me you have to explain it is not offensive cause I never saw it as such until I moved to the US and learn people finds it offensive, so the correct way to pronounce in spanish is Nehgro the sound of the E is as in Elephant so for you to feel more confortable saying it in spanish, again as a Hispanic raised in Mexico it surprises me how you have to explain how that is not offensive but it is what it is🤷‍♀️

The fact cop says everyone in the office will see it is what upset her! Maddie is dead no reason not to care about this woman she’s actually still alive! Just because Maddie is dead doesn’t mean other people have no rights to feel about themselves! One doesn’t negate the other! Just cuz she’s embarrassed don’t mean she don’t feel bad for Maddie grow up and stop it with the virtue signaling you’d feel the same way if you were told a whole police department will see your bare ass and the cop thinks that’s comforting?

For something as serious as a murder investigation this translator is not doing a very good job of translating. Also if he is not an investigator himself he should only be asking the questions that the investigator asked and nothing else. He should simply be a asking the exact questions the investigator is asking and the way that he asked them and translating back the exact answer that she gives and nothing more in my opinion.

I cant help but wonder if Maddie truely thought that Stephen was in love with her. And once she realalized that he was only abusing her, at 13 she desided to tell. And she told Stephen what he was doing was wrong and was going to tell. Preganency could of been a big part of it as well. Mu heart is broken for a sweet little 13 year old ive never had yhe chance to meet. Teminds me alot of Gannon Stauch. 💔💙

It’s my firm belief that he was doing these things to her while she was sleeping. I think the mom was allowing it because she could rationalize the fact that her daughter wouldn’t be awake. Jen confirmed that Maddie took medication that helped her sleep. Here’s my unprofessional theory: she may have “woke up” that night because she didn’t actually take her medicine. Jen said she let Maddie take it herself that night maybe Maddie was curious about how she felt in the mornings? Could be why she never disclosed SA. I’m thinking since he strangled her he may have been trying to get her to be quiet & didn’t know what to do since she’s never been awake for it.

If you watch coverage of maddies drawings in her notebooks, they are very explicit images she had drawn, with mmmmh and ahhha sounds next to the images. If you see the drawings, I think its very clear she wasn't always sleeping and was very much awake and being made to do things .just so heartbreaking, so many people around maddie could have said/did something, she was so let down by everyone around her, that poor sweet girl .😢❤❤
