Love the cottage and French country-style, florals and wallpaper and soft pastels, being from England 🇬🇧 have a soft spot for thatched roofs and old stone cottages or the lovely French stone farmhouse. Really enjoy your videos please continue the styles and suggestions, modern to me is a little stark and cold.

Wonderful video! So informative and interesting! Not sure where I fall in the décor world. Live in Florida but in the central part of the state. Many people decorate with Coastal style but I feel that’s too beachy for us since we’re not in a coastal town. I have decorated in what I call a Tropical style. Faux palms, tropical bird art and botanical prints. Kitchen is more citrus themed. I did do our guest room in a coastal theme for our Northern family and visitors!

My preference is for Orkcore home design. The Orkcore look is dominated by red, grey, and brown. Brown leather and (natural or lightly stained)brown wood. Grey concrete, grey iron, occasionally grey stained wood(I've found that Aged Barrel Mw283 is the best shade of wood stain for this). Red leather, sedona red stained wood, a bit of red trim, red painted roof. Dark ages war/hunting weapons as decorations. Hide rugs. Raw materials and recycled materials such as stone and barnwood. Exposed industrial elements such as large bolts where practical. Pointiness added everywhere it can be done safely, such as pyramid tacks & pointy plants.

Thanks for this video! What always surprises me, living in France, is that there seems to be a "French Country Style" that only exists outside of France. I'm not French and I love this style but I live in France and have never seen a French home that looks like this. Do you know how this ended up being a style in the US that's called French?
