One, to me god is a title not a single person or being. However you can’t assume people who have admiration for a celebrity worships them as a god. For myself, the way GU talks and feels about Janet is the same way I feel about her and Michael. It’s okay that it seems silly to you. At the end of the day what you see as ideology is 9 times out of 10 gratitude & pure love. That little amount of what we have that could even begin to repay (in MJ & JJ cases) what they’ve given and taught us by sharing literally their whole lives. These celebrities have brought us joy, pain and was the soundtrack of our lives going through every emotion it seems with us. The smile their music or acting puts on our faces even when the emotion is bad and we feel we're going through something along. They lift us up and out of it.
