Thank God for 2 of my FAVORITE American Idols JHud and Fantasia! The 2003-2004 season is my FAVE! Fantasia was FANTASTIC especially when she sang Summertime! Glad JHud moved on and won an Oscar for Dreamgirls. So looking forward to seeing this new version of The Color Purple. Glad Fantasia decided to take on Celie again. I wish her many accolades and awards! 🏆❤

I love Jennifer and Fantasia! Of course, I love all the other stars too. What an incredible cast for The Color Purple! I watched the original, and then I watched the new version, and I'm just awestruck by both movies. Whoopi's Celie was... just flat out iconic! I have to say, that seeing Fantasia on Broadway, and then what she did with the movie role, was something that no other actress could've pulled off. She just had such passion, emotive understanding, resilience, and composure about how she portrayed the role! Fantasia, in my opinion, blessed the role of Celie in the same way Whoopi did! And can we talk about Danielle Brooks performance? OMG! What a breakout performance! She slapped the world across the face with her talent in that movie!!!! SHE BETTER WIN THE OSCAR! Compared to her fellow nominees, I would have to say this is her year. It just has to be! She IS the high class talent making THAT name for herself. Her Name should be adorned with the Oscar accolades that come with winning. She won in that role. I don't care how the politics of the oscars plays out. Danielle Brooks is a talent like no other! I'm very upset that Taraji and Fantasia both didn't get nominated. These women have been people I look up to. Their strength, love, compassion, and yeah beauty, has captivated me for a long time! Anyway, just sharing my thoughts. Much love to the Cast and Crew of The Color Purple. When you watch that movie, EVERY SINGLE PERFORMER IN THAT MOVIE GOES SOOOO HARD!! All of it was 10000% effort, and it was spiritually uplifting to watch!
