My mind is blown at how the affirmation is still needed at her level. I take for granted that the final complete version we see doesn’t include all the hard work and doubt and fears. I just thought you get to her level and you just naturally have all this confidence. many musicians are like this bc they face a lot of criticism from their label, like their vocal coaches, managers, everyone who oversees the performance. It's more obvious and pronounced in the kpop industry, but western artists are slowly sharing about it too. But with western artists it's more like backlash and criticism from the public. Jenny was compared a lot to Mariah among other singers and bc she was used by Mariah ex to get back at Carey, llots of fans and people came at JLo's vocal skills, which wasn't really fair cause she personally didn't create this competition and beef with Mariah. I think that's why she might be insecure; she hears a lot of comments how she's more of a performer and artist than a singer. Imo Jenny is a decent singer even if she's not the best or at the level of all icons.
