What an excellent way to make the cards. Great cause. Bullying is so wrong and hurtful on all levels. Even worse is when I see a parent laugh about something a child has said. Adults can also be a bully.

Hi Jennifer ~ I am very thankful that you introduced me to Honey Bee stamps. The very day I saw the Blessings stamp set I ordered them and have not been disappointed. I see the other sets you've shown here becoming permanent members in my stamp stash. Not only because they are perfect for expressing my personal feelings, but for the good that they continue to do long after my stamps are permanently stained from use. Thank YOU for your kindness, for your inspiration and for all the good you do for so many of us. ~HUGS~

Jennifer, beautiful cards, and for such a good cause. I myself have been a victim of bullying. It was horrible. Its affects are/were long-lasting. People can be so cruel. I'm all for the anti-bullying campaign. Bullying takes many different forms, as do all kinds of abuse, and the more we can do to combat it and to instill in our children and young people the benefits of kindness, the better the world will be. There's not much in the media to remind children and even adults to be kind. I recall long ago (and I will date myself here) watching Captain Kangaroo and how Captain always reminded us to "say please and thank you" and to "be kind to animals." Those little reminders went a long way in my generation to instill good character. Recently, I was in the ER Waiting Room, and what I witnessed there was astonishing: adults saying cruel things to one another, children spitting at their parents and each other. I realize they may have been stressed, but that's no excuse for bad behavior and ill manners. I so enjoy seeing parents and their children in public being nice to one another and to others....opening doors, picking up dropped items and handing them to the owners, giving up a seat on the train for an elderly person or expectant mother......The world can be both a beautiful and harsh place. Kindness helps.

Hi Elizabeth ~ I can feel your pain. I, too, was the victim of much bullying and was not confident enough to stand up for myself. Bullying can leave life-long scars and it truly lead me to be a better parent and adult. My children all grew up tolerant of each other and most everyone they came in contact with. They couldn't believe that people were cruel to each other because of the color of their skin or because they were a different religion or came from a non-traditional family. I have been shocked MANY times over the years (& I, too, watched Captain Kangaroo!! LOL) at the transition from "good" behavior as the expectation to negative behavior being accepted. I worked at the local HS as a teaching assistant for many (many) years and it never ceased to amaze me the way students spoke to each other, their teachers and ultimately their parents (I went to Catholic school for 12 years so there was NONE of misbehavior in a classroom run by nuns or trash-talking to your parents!). Treat yourself well and when I say my prayers tonight, you will be included in them. ~BIG HUGS~ to you.

Thanks for sharing, Maggie. Like you, I resolved to teach my daughters to always treat others with respect and kindness, NO MATTER WHAT, and I chose to raise them differently than my parents did my siblings and myself. Cruelty hurts, but it can also be a teacher. I'm thankful Jennifer McGuire is helping to get the message out about being kind. This day and age, it's easy to lose sight of. Important reminders.

I would like to add, Jennifer, if you don't mind, that you can use different colors of inks, and use CLEAR embossing power over it... Just be sure to check the results before hand, as the mix can sometimes cause the colors to change, or warp...
