Love all of the unique ideas. I was thinking about using masking fluid to stamp an image and then watercolor the background. Then rub away for crisp lines. Have you ever used masking fluid this way?

Oh my goodness, those are the bomb! I am starting to make my list for the Mesa Stamp & scrapbook expo coming up in September. I now have a whole bunch of stuff on the list! I hope my Dad & father in law are generous with birthday money this year. The Friday of the expo is my birthday so it’s my special treat for myself to go. I especially love those foiled sentiments. I have a hot foil machine (the kind that you run thru your big shot), I am hoping they work with that machine. I want to try those sooner rather than later.

Anyone else old enough here to remember Dee Greunig and Posh Impressions? She came up with the compressed sponge and the needle nose ink bottles and made backgrounds like this. I'm wondering if Dee's sponge would work with alcohol inks???

Tim Holtz will tell you that Ranger Alcohol ink and yupo papers work for sure. The others MAY work but not all. If you have some on them on hand give them a try!

Wow. Just Wow! You break down even the most elaborate looking techniques into simple steps we can easily follow. I saw Tim Holtz demo his lift ink pad using a rubber stamp, but your use of the ink and pen gives another fun way to use the product. The wavy lines you created with the ink “applicators” are so fun looking, and they will truly help those of us who struggle with straight lines. Thanks for sharing your creative genius.
