The song has been copied by many, but no one can sing it like you. Your voice is powerful, pure, and with passion. Your technical singing skills are amazing. Your 'audience skills' for presenting and delivering your music to listeners is awesome. Recently I found your Live performance from 1985 at the Rockpop Music Hall on KZbin. Your performance was so good, that I could not tell any difference in voice quality between Studio and Live. So many artists can't sing Live very well, but you performed expertly. Had a chance to go to The Royal Toronto Conservatory after my last recital from a lady who wanted to pay for a good portion of the cost but our family was flat poor like in happy to have food and shelter. Thanks to help from my daughter and my wife working to make ends meet they got me a Yamaha WC88 stage piano as they understood my passion for music. My wife and I are same age and I have stage 4 COPD and heart issues so getting a part time job is a real hurdle for me but still looking. I’m sure not complaining as I got sole custody of my kids when they were 5 and 10 both doing extremely well and now have great families that help us both in many many ways so God has really blessed me. I try to encourage others to follow their passion and never give up in times of trial. If I help only one person on this walk of life succeed in their passion or lift their spirits and faith then I consider my life a success. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Totally agree. When the Dion cover came out, I could take it or leave it; take it mostly, to be fair. But the original just has a more ethereal sound to it, it’s all the synth and heavier sounding percussion that gives it more depth. Rush’s voice lends well to the instruments, too.
