Thank you so much for your super helpful videos! :) I just have a question>> in some not reflexive verbs (beschweren, treffen and etc) you used for example ich beschwere mich... Do we always have to make it reflexive? And how do we know if it's one if not in listed? Thank you so much 💖💐
@lingoniGERMAN7 жыл бұрын
Some reflexive verbs can be used as a non-reflexive verbs but not all of them! "sich beschweren" is always reflexive. You can't make it "un reflexive". Here is a list: deutsch-als-fremdsprache-grammatik.de/DaF/reflexiveverben.pdf

does Telekom refer to the name of a firm? or is it the generic term for Internet provider? I do not recognise the English word Telecom (There is a large British form called British Telecom, but I don't suppose that is relevant)
@lingoniGERMAN6 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s a firm but it’s not relevant.

hey Jenny, your videos are really helpful when trying to learn german, its so complicated! just a few questions: why does 'it moechte mich ganz herzlich bei ihnen bedanken' include the 'mich' when the verb is not 'sich bedanken'? when do we know when to include sich, mich etc? also a video about when and how to use "doch" would be quite good i think, also "mal", e.g. when and why its ich frag mal, etc or just a short explanation. Thanks!
@lingoniGERMAN8 жыл бұрын
+sylvia brunlehner Danke fürs Vorbeischauen :) "sich bedanken" is a reflexive verb. Reflexive verbs have to be memorized just like the German articles. sure, I'll keep your suggestions in mind for future videos :)

Geil! Diese Videos sind sehr nutzlich! Danke. Ich habe auch eine Frage. waere es falsch, wenn wir nur "Ich danke dir" statt "Ich danke bei dir" sagen?
@lingoniGERMAN8 жыл бұрын
+Sahil Gulati Du kannst auch sagen "Ich danke dir". :) Die Alternative wäre "Ich bedanke mich bei dir."

Jenny why did you say wir haben ihr zugesehen and not 'sie' in place of ihr? isn't it Akkusativ ?
@yinmyatthwe60744 жыл бұрын
Thank you. But In the words using Bleiben bei, I think you are using (Sie), so I think it will be formal. But you described as informal and why is it ?
@abumahmoud21958 жыл бұрын
vieln Dank jenny but i still confused because you explained all the verbs which take bei and in this case the verb (beverben) must take bei instead um it is really complected

"bei" - for Dative case , so what is the reason for "mich" here -> Ich habe mich bei Bertelsmann beworben. Kindly clarify me.
@teofillungoci92854 жыл бұрын
You have to use the Dative case after you put the preposition bei

"Ich habe bei Amazon ein Buch bestellt." = "I ordered a book at Amazon." It would be better to use the preposition "from" rather than "at." It may not be wrong, but it sounds awkard. Excellent video anyhow!
