as a design student it's really cool to hear from the clients side, especially in terms of the language we use when collecting information about the design your looking for! this is great

I loved your rants. I've seen nasty, jaded comments on Reddit and Quora about Fiverr and your general response to such thoughts was spot on. I watched a few of your videos before subscribing as I've learned to be deliberate abouty subscriptions so my time is better spent. I subscribed today and this video confirmed it as a good choice. Thanks for your brand of reviewing.
@GOGOAKUMAN2 жыл бұрын
It's because she responds from the point of view of someone who doesn't really know what makes a good Brand/logo. those people on Fiverr are just people trying to make money out of the fact that they can draw a little on a PC, but have little to no education on visual communication. that is why you see so many bad reviews. I professional graphic designer will never ask you about your colors because this is not how it works. like I already said in my own comment, It's like going to a doctor and telling him what is wrong with you and suggesting what you need. it's not at all how a strong Brand is created.

I would never buy a logo which is not in vector format
@faysalalam24664 жыл бұрын
Right. Because vector is best format for logo design
@leannbarker5724 жыл бұрын
Seriously.... there are people doing logos in a raster format???? That won’t scale well and quality will degrade if you try to expand it (make it larger for a billboard etc).... An example that you get what you pay for.
@faysalalam24664 жыл бұрын
@@leannbarker572 not exact. Bt as a professional designer i will use vector shape for creating a billboard & quality will also better.

Just curious, did you ask them specifically NOT to include a plum? It seems odd that no one proposed one...
@GOGOAKUMAN2 жыл бұрын
If a graphist asks you about your colors, run! he doesn't have a clue about what he is doing. A brand/ logo is not based on your wants but on your needs. The designer is supposed to take you through an ideal client profile creation based on the demographic/psychographics of your target audience. once this is done, HE educates you on what are the right colors and styles for your brand...... not the other way around. It's like going to a doctor and telling him what is wrong with you and suggesting what you need 🤣😅

Very good video as usual. I wonder if fiver might be a worthwhile venue for my biz even though creative seems to be their niche for clients. I help businesses reduce business overhead costs and help manage their vendors and suppliers procurement and day to day service and billing issues...the goal is essentially to clear their desk of tasks like service reviews and pricing negotiations so they can concentrate on core business. Thanks and keep up the great work

My only issue with Fiverr was that a seller in Bangladesh took my screenshots from Etsy and pretended they were his designs. He got shut down!
@JennJager4 жыл бұрын
Whoa!!!!!! Good for you for going after him.
@KEEBLERVET4 жыл бұрын
yes indeed! Good for you to catch him. I am a published author, and once wrote a funny song/poem changing the words of a Christmas song, which is well out of copyright. . I posted it online on FB. One of my "friends" copied it, deleted my name, posted it under her name. right on my feed. I did a kind and friendly confrontation, in case she had never heard of the word Plagiarism. I was soon confronted by a guy, i guess a friend of hers, who threatened me and was very very ugly, and said if it's posted on FB it's public, and fair game. he threatened me repeatedly and said he's send it to Bruno Mars. I told him undoubtedly Mars knows EXACTLY what plagiarism is and wouldnt be an idiot like those two who stole my song. of course, then, i quickly reported their misbehavior. Never heard from the jerks again.
@EpartnersMarketing4 жыл бұрын
@@KEEBLERVET Wow! That's crazy. The man on Fiverr offered me free designs, but I told him to remove my work immediately. I sent the screensnhot of the listings on my Etsy shop, with the Copyright sentence I include on all my listings. I reported him to Fiverr before I reached out to him directly. Even though he was in a different country, Copyright law in the US is very serious. I was also technically a Fivver seller even though I didn't have any active listings. Showing another seller's work as your own is against their policies. A lot of artists don't realize that.

Hi there thank you for this great video. Question.We’re starting up a KZbin channel and website. As we want to get an animated and a static logo ,should we start we the static one and then give the information to the animated logo designer or the other way around? Would you advise us to get one person or different persons. Subbed liked it and we will go to use your fiver affiliate link, Thanks
@JennJager4 жыл бұрын
You should definitely start withe the static logo design, then once you're happy with that, you can have it animated.

TFS. Honestly, I don't see them as good logos. Its better if you could pay attention about pro minimalist or negative space logo designers in fiverr. As a video production business It must be very simple, and able to carry a message.

Another designer trying to shit on Fiverr... I keep thinking I will get some worth while info on the Fiverr Logo critiques, but the logos I see from Fiverr (via Googling for the top designers of course) are dope and will translate across multiple types of media. The logos I see in these reviews though are not up to par. I for one believe price has nothing to do with it. You can pay $1,500 for trash just as easy a $25 like a Michael Kors watch.

Type. She probably meant type of logo like Lettermarks, Wordmarks, Pictorial, etc. but it's a useless question to ask since you're going to describe it or show her an example of what you want anyway.
@mk_dezeteu5 жыл бұрын
She was referring to font style when she said type (sans serif, serif, handmade etc) As for transparency a designer should always provide a form of vector file, as well as digital assets such as png (transparent background) or jpeg files.

Beware, about these companies. Sock away triple the money you didn't spend to get something professionally designed to pay layers or to re-do the work because you paid a teenager working through Fivrr to use a directly traced or ripped off concept.
