@@kaylarichardson404 the only book I've read with CP rep was a MM book titled Cloud Nine by Fearnie Hill. It was lovely and sweet. I thought the CP rep was good but I don't really know because I don't live with the condition. If you ever come to reading it, I hope you enjoy it. 💗

Thanks for the recs! There are a few I’m interested in reading but the one i am most excited about is “His Tesoro” because my sister has EDS. As a Side-note I don’t really approve of when authors make the wheelchairs part of the “sexy times” because there is no separation between the person and the disability and I believe there should be (that being said if anyone who uses a wheelchair is into that sort of thing then by all means you do you).

Shattered Sea By Catherine Cowles has a FMC that has chronic pain. I also have chronic pain from failed back surgeries. I think she did a good job of explaining how it feels and how a person navigates dealing with pain daily.

Hi Jen! I was one that recommended this book to you awhile back. The disability in this book is CTE due to concussions. This book crushes me every time I read it and I wouldn't classify it as a romance due to no HEA. It really makes you think of the toll professional sports take on the body. It's still a great read though and I hope you enjoy it!

Sustained by Emma Chase has a H with a prosthetic leg, though it's not very prominent in the storyline, and it's a great book for people who like to the TV series Suits as they're both lawyers

For disability recs, I think Chloe Liese almost always has some kind of disability representation for her hero or heroine. Certainly, the Bergman series. But a lesser talked about book of hers that I really enjoyed was "They're Strickly Friends" where the hero is dealing with a disability diagnosis. Some oldies that have disability representation that I've read are "Adam's Fall" and "Envy" by Sandra Brown and "Come Lie with Me" by Linda Howard. Last month I read "Me Before You" by Jojo Moyes, which isn't a romance because there is no HEA and most will not be pleased with the hero's decision in the book, but I found the heroine, Louisa Clark, just so lovely. But be warned it is a sad book, but the series does get happier.

I will never forgive Me Before You for what it did to me. Haha! But the disability rep was very solid.

@@TheBookRefuge I will never criticize that book for existing because somewhere in the world that is someone’s reality. HOWEVER I will NOT forgive the fact that Me Before You became a movie over other great books that have HEA for their disabled characters because there is not a lot of representation out there to begin with and I don’t think the main message that we get from entertainment as a society should be “if you become/are disabled you are better off dead”

@@moviemelody2210 I would have loved a happier ending for both the book and the movie, especially since I think the actors in the movie had some great chemistry. It would have been so much more emotional. The message was awful for disabled representation. I did like books two and three in the series much better, except that Will wasn't in those only his memory. Luckily I did know what was going to happen going into the story.

Things Left Unsaid by GA Mazurke, Bound to the Shadow Prince by Ruby Dixon has a magical version of diabetes. The Devils Angels MC Book 1 by Lola Wright (have not read) The Mistletoe Motive by Chloe Liese (have not read) Hope these work for you!
