@apparition6685 жыл бұрын
@@PeterHollens A lot of this has to do with context. Podrick's placement in a dark hall- a personal, intimate, somber setting- adds a lot of power to his performance. Also, his version is a single voice. That simplicity and clarity really helps the richness of the experience. I think I've mentioned this in a couple of other videos, but occasionally, I'd like to see you keep the secondary vocal tracks out of it. Concentrate on the lyrics and the power of a single voice. That being said- this was extremely well done, and will certainly be added to my music library!

“Jenny of Oldstones” Lyrics High in the halls of the kings who are gone, Jenny would dance with her ghosts. The ones who she had lost and the ones she had found And the ones who had loved her the most. The ones who’d been gone for so very long, She couldn’t remember their names They spun her around on the damp old stones, Spun away all her sorrow and pain. And she never wanted to leave, Never wanted to leave, Never wanted to leave, Never wanted to leave. They danced through the day and into the night, Through the snow that swept through the hall. From winter to summer then winter again ’Til the walls did crumble and fall. And she never wanted to leave, Never wanted to leave, Never wanted to leave, Never wanted to leave. And she never wanted to leave, Never wanted to leave, Never wanted to leave, Never wanted to leave. High in the halls of the kings who are gone, Jenny would dance with her ghosts. The ones who she had lost and the ones she had found And the ones who had loved her the most.

And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave A king with no chance trusted men of great heart. His prince and the knight strong and tall, They gathered to waken dragons from stone, And by their own foolishness fall. And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Tears were no shield from the fires that raged, From the dragons who stirred in their sleep, Princes and kings lost to passions untamed The night there were left only screams. And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave A child was born as the last dragon roared And the summer slaughtered the snow She whispered: “Sweet babe, a king shall you rise, Your song, your future unknown.” And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave They danced through the day and into the night Through the snow that swept through the hall From winter to summer then winter again 'Til the walls did crumble and fall And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave The Children of Old and the Gods of the Trees, And Others from sev’n hells ascend, Men without eyes shall ne’er believe, And their story will come to an end. And they never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave High in the halls of the kings who are gone Jenny would dance with her ghosts The ones she had lost and the ones she had found And the ones who had loved her the most...
